i have an extra sensor you can have. i replaced it when i had a no-start but it ended up being that allen set screw you were talking about before. i dropped a bolt in the inspection hole and it sheared that off. that was an expensive mistake. i guess you can drive down or if yuliang wants to we can take a trip up? or you can give me your address and i can ship it up to you. i don't want anything for it, just a gift from one 944 owner to another. let me know how you want to do this, that is if you even want the sensor.

Hey Brett, I have an old one that came out during a “while you’re in there” exercise, car ran well with it in, but found it had impact damage from being set too low. Even damaged it measured 1.016K ohms when tested like your first pic and open at the outer two pins like your second pic. Pity there is damage or I’d send it to you.

penny's has a few locations. there one on willow road right off of 94. theres one near diversey and clark downtown. and one near wrigley field. theres one kind of closer to you on ummm chicago ave and harlem ave in oak park.

and hah yeah i never did get down there to pick up that manifold... i just went ahead and stuck my original one on for now. it has a small fracture in it but i figure it will be fine until i get something better. I kinda want to just get one of those msds/bursch type of setups. but ive been hearing nothing but bad reviews

everything looks good, settings too. try testing your meter. put it on the lowest ohm and touch the 2 leads, you should get 0 or somewhere a little above depending on how accurate your meter is. but not above 1. i had 2 meters give bad readings when the batteries were going, might want to try changing them. can also try testing it with a wire too, just a few inches long and you should get a higher reading.

hmmm damn.. yeah if i touch the contacts together the meter goes to zero. but apart it says "1". and when i touch the leads to the contacts in the plug it stays at "1"

i was just surprised i got absolutely nothing from either sensor...

alright so i ordered new ref/speed sensors from paragon... I hooked my multimeter up to them to measure the resistance across the contacts and i still get nothing. So i must just be doing this wrong and mine were probly fine the whole time.
