I had the tires dismounted, so I can do a proper job of painting the wheels.
The first place I called, wanted $40 to take four tires off, even as a carry in. Despite my distain for Walmart, I ended up there (mostly because they were still open). Initially it was going to be $14, and then they couldn't figure out how to charge for just removal, so they didn't charge me anything.
I'm happy with the results, tires are off and I didn't give the evil empire any money.

i wonder how spring rates compare in different cars. my acura rsx has track coilovers. the springs are 671lbs/in front, 783lbs/in rear handling is amazing but road imperfections are jaw breakers hehe. i wonder what the 944 would be like with spring rates beyond 400 or 500

not really a big deal though (except for the $56 it cost to flatbed me home), i was going to put a turbo trans and freshly rebuilt torque tube on the car this weekend anyways. car is now sitting at home minus a trans so saturday should go a bit quicker

Picked it up from the shop. Charged me $200 for a compression and leakdown test and a test of the coolant vapor for hydrocarbons

Sound dampening yesterday, carpet in, but not sealed today! Going to get some egg-foam pad tomorrow from a goodwill, if I can find it, and try to stuff the rear cubbies to reduce noise.

Spencer, i dont recall if you're running a stock NA or if you put a SC on it.. if it's stock it will be slower in the low gears with a turbo trans.

My day... here is a hint..

Second one this spring.. and this car was 'supposed' to have a spring centered clutch(luckily I get free use of a lift at work and tear down was under 3 hours). Now i've decided to go a different route with the car..
