Over the weekend,
Removed all 4 wheels (phone dials) prepped and painted them back to silver from 22 year old
faded silver. primer, 2 coats of silver and 2 coats of clear. I used the duplicolor silver wheel paint and clear coat. They came out ok. I wet sanded between coats so the silver looks good. Clear is meh. Need to let it cure and buff it down.
I also realigned the hatch release mechanism, now when I turn the key or hit the button the hatch pops up like it should.

Three Wheelin'
the other day i pulled my engine wiring harness, and i should have some new header gaskets and bolts on the way...hopefully this will fix my really bad backfiring problem...i'll also be reworking and neatening the wiring harness, getting really tired of tracking down bad ground/power splices and shorts etc....finally going to try to make it really reliable!

i na'd my turbo. apparently a nut fell into the exhaust when the manifolds were off, and as soon as it was started in went up the exhaust and wedged itself in the turbine.

Last night I charged up the AC...froze myself out on the way to work this morning... it is blowing glacial... it is 90s out today, and humid...but the AC is nice and cold within 30 seconds of start...

didn't do anything today, but....
tomorrow I'm going to be picking it up following a complete engine rebuild. It's been about 7 weeks and I cannot wait to get it back!
