Drifting
converted 924S to run E85.
Swapped the NA injectors for Turbo's and crossed our fingers....
Idles great, seems to be running good at the shop.
18 hours of racing and some test and tune at the track this weekend --
guess we'll see how she does.

I might be able to find you a set of brown tops if you're interested for $60 or so.

Near fire
Well last night after work at 5:00 on the way to a friends house to recharge the AC on my 89 951, the car would not start after a brief stop. I smelled gasoline, opened the hood and witnessed the back two injectors squirting fule over my hot engine. The rear faster on the LR rail support leg had sheared and allowed the rail to push off the injector o ring. After some quick thinking i was able to strap the rail down using a bungee cord. Petrified I drove the ramaining five miles (seemed like 50) to my firneds house where we proceeded to remove the rail, drill the broken fastener from the intake mount, rethread, loctite and re-assemble. We recharged the AC an at 9:44 P.M. I started the car to go home. All is well!

Between yesterday and today:
On a food break right now, but the rest of the night should get me to a running point by day light. Then my neighbors get to share in the joy of a 20min cam break in.
- Timed cams
- Installed all external engine parts
- Bolted engine / front suspension back into car.

somehow lost a bumper plug (where the headlight washer nozzles would be) a few weeks ago, so ordered 1 from Sunset, painted it last week.
Pulled the bumper cover and installed it today

Installed M030 sway bars with new bushings, front and rear; new power steering reservoir and hose, bled steering, replaced fluid; torqued wheels, installed license plate, replaced drain hoses and brake pad sensor and STARTED HER UP (on jacks)! Ran like a charm, set the clock, set the radio, YAY!
F@&^%ing winter is nearly over!!
And for you who enjoy this spectator sport, I carefully collected all the crap power steering fluid and then pulled my drop light to get it out of the way, flipping over the container and the whole sh*tteree dumped on the garage floor! A new permanent stain... makes a nice change from whacking the side-view mirror with the sore spot on my side while going for the 13mm wrench on the shelves in my tiny, Porsche-sized garage or trying to open the garage door when the hatch is open... What fun! Some people actually go skiing or to Costco or buy groceries or whatever on a warm Saturday. What a concept!
