What did you do to your 924/944 today

Now I have installed the new hatch seal and put the new pins in. Those original pins were so rusted I broke on of them in half. I had to put a vice grips on each end and twist them against each other and I snapped the first one. The second one came out without breaking but not very easily. New hatch pins look might pretty tho.

Yeah, I've read about that too... but the thought of having that hatch pop open when I hit the release button in the cockpit is too tempting not to try it! My hatch doesn't leak so I'm hoping it's in good enough shape to handle the extra pressure.
Mind you, I tried to compress the new struts and, damn they're stiff!! I guess we'll see..

Please post up with your results/thoughts after the install!

Installed new rear hatch struts, easy job. Only minor problem was broken brittle wire for the rear defroster, but should be an easy fix. Closes tight and no issues at all with pin adjustment. It's sweet to see the hatch pop open when I hit the button! Smooth and simple, just like it was meant to! Goodbye stupid prop-stick...one less goose egg to worry about.
Hopefully won't be any seal issues, time will tell but it looks like nothing changed with the fit.
Tomorrow taking it in to change the belts and water pump and have another thorough mechanical inspection with a euro mechanic here on the mid-island. He only orders Porsche OEM, Conti, Mahle, etc parts and asked if I knew if it had an updated water pump and 47 mm roller, so I'm feeling confident that he knows a lot about working on these cars.
Fingers crossed that all else is sound mechanically and then look forward to lots of driving this summer! I can feel the third gear slingshot just thinking about it... what a joy driving this car.
Addiction still growing...

Bit the bullet last week and put new braided SS brake lines on as a preventative maintenance thing (i.e., old rubber hoses). I've spent at least a dozen hours trying to bleed the system, first with a Motive pressure bleeder, then the hose-in-a-jar method, front end up, rear end up.... They work OK but there is clearly still air in the system. I'm thinking it's in the M/C, may do a bench bleed next.
Porsche violated every rule of brake system design on these, you NEVER go up with the lines out of the M/C! It's a perfect air trap. And if you are going to tilt the M/C up at the front, you put a bleeder screw at each chamber.

Huge thanks to Scott Craig for the hardware, and Sunset Porsche for sourcing a new OE left rear belt... Factory Option M335 has been fully restored to my car!
This bugged me for 3 years, but took me this long to finally do something about it!
Next comes seat repair, and fresh carpet (carpet is on hand, seats will be within the week!)

I replaced a high beam and fog lamp globes, and repainted rear wiper arm. I gave her a coat of zymol wax too. I also ordered some parts from UK
