Default More efficient radiators?

Anyone have any leads for a more efficient radiator for the 944 cars? I would imagine a 944 turbo radiator would be better than that of an NA, but is there any available that is even better than that for a decent price?

And don't tell me to look at the Renegade radiator, someone with years of experience with the V8 swap and engineering in general has told me that it is junk compared to the 951 radiator.

TIA

I believe someone on PorscheHybrids said something about a racing radiator from summit fitting the 944 almost perfectly. It was only 1/8in wider than the stock one.

I don't know if this will help you since you're doing the supercharger on the stock engine. He was using it on an LS1...

Thought I'd try anyway.....

There was a group buy on Griffen radiators about 4 yrs ago. I posted some pics of mine in the thread. Maybe they'll make you one if they still have the specs. You could also see if anyone bought one and never used it. It's a nice radiator.

I always wondered on the radiator stuff

they have aluminum radiatiors for Nissan 240sx, and Mazda RX-7, no one ever tried to retrofit those maybe? Koyo radiators is it? maybe there is a bare kit that would still need piping or something?

I have found if the cooling system is working properly overheating is not an issue. Most overheating occurs when some part of the system is performing less than it was designed to.

i would just like to have a more efficient radiator that can handle extra heat that will be brought on from the supercharger. i will be using a different radiator for the supercharger's dedicated cooling system but the additional horsepower creates additiional heat that needs to be dissipated. i am also about to put my air conditioning back on and the condensor restricts the airflow to the radiator, although i discovered that the 6-blade electric fans pull a tremendous amount of air even standing still.

A good 951 radiator should be more than adequate for the power levels you are looking at. ....

If the AIT is in check

How about putting a oil cooler in. That should help keep engine temps lower.

well then why did the p-gods switch to a different radiator for the 951 aside from the need for a turbo water line? or are the cores the same lol

oo that is a good idea i hadn't thought of, are there any of those that i could completely eliminated the oil/water heat exchanger like with a blockoff plate that goes straight to a filter/cooler?

Get a set up like a turbo, then use a bigger cooler. Or they sell adapter plates that have outlets and inlets for a cooler that go between the oil filter and the stock oil cooler.

does the turbo still have the water/oil cooler or is all oil cooling done externally?

All the cooling is done externally with the turbo unit, which uses a different oil filter mount on the side of the block that does not have the internal water-based cooler, and instead sends and returns the oil to an external air-based cooler.
