Hey Julie, how does that clutch feel? I've been considering the Centerforce as a part of my next clutch job on my 944. I hope it's not *GULP* too soon

Excellent, I look forward to meeting some new faces next weekend.

Beeg, I hope you remembered to pack a couple of those down under "barbie" recipes for next Sunday.

Fun day yesterday. There are allot of fasteners holding the backend of a 944 together. That 13mm bold holding the grounds ontop of the bellhousing is idiotic beyond reason. Frank's new place is pretty cool.

Don's car is pretty kick ***, there is probably 1000x the computing power running his radio than the Bosch computer firing the injectors.

Eyal, I will be picking up a miata this thursday. You must be talking about the hard dog roll bar. The previous owner of the miata I'm picking up mentioned that he couldn't figure out a way to use the stock seatbelts with the rolldbar. I am thinking thats incorrect, care to share any insight on how to install the roll bar and use the seatbelts? I don't want to drive on the street with a harness, thats just asking for trouble.

But they can't see you as well if you are not in a convertible. Even better if you turn on a/c.

Less than 24hrs till I leave Oz! Less than a week till a photo op with you guys.
BTW, I cant cook for ****! BBQ's mean burnt bangers and steak! Oh, and lots of beer!
Next time I log on here will probably be in the states, unless I get some free time this evening from packing. Bought an 'el cheapo' 2nd hand laptop with wi-fi access so I can stay up to date with the 'list!
When you guys have figured out what you are doing next weekend give me a call at the Sofitel.
Am I correct that the 'garage' is at Longbeach? I have friends from work arriving on Sunday and they are staying 2 days on the Queen Mary. If it's not too far away, may get them to visit. Both good fun and drinkers. Plus, as a bonus, Nita has the mostadmired set of artificial breasticles in the Southern Hemisphere!

Jeff, did you see the picture I posted for you on the gas thread? If not, here it is. You should fight to get this plate on your 944.

Kelly, it was the Boss Frog roll bar, which i beleive is even more of a pain. We had to do some custom work for the seat belts to work properly. You have to drill and tap (We used a nut in back, i don't trust tapping sheetmetal) the top alignment hole on the real, and cut of the tab. you then rotate the real towards the inside of the car a bit under an inch. It's hard to explain, but i would be willing to help you do it if its the same issue.as this one.

That's extremely funny. . .

I think my next one's going to just be either "9Forty4" (available according to DMV last time I looked) or "BluebyU" (same), but only if I end up painting the car blue metallic like I'm considering. . .

on the way home lastnight, I saw a plate on a Mustang that was " LS1 THIS " . I just let him by me, although it was at the spot of freeway that I used to hit 120+ on.

I also saw a Cayanne towing a trailer with a black air cooled race car, it was black and nightime so I couldn't make out details..

Maybe there should be a new thread for this weekend since the " waterpump " issue is over. We could call it " re-installing complete drivetrain" and " How not to ArcWeld your hood "

Exclamation My Car NOT okay!!!

Well, she got HOT again last night, when I came off that stupid damn ramp again - went up to over 3/4.

To add insult to injury, she crapped out in a parking lot, where I was picking up headphones for my boyfriend...and she REFUSED to start back up.

HUH!? FRAAANK!

Called 2 friends, to help push start her, and it didn't work, two times.

Now Frank & I spoke, and we either thought it was the starter or the ignition switch.

I got pissed, flooded her, because those two were panting HARD (more out of shape than me, sheesh), kept jiggling the ignition, stomped the gas pedal all the way down...AGAIN, and tried to start for the 30th time - and this HORRIBLE racket came up (poor flywheel, sorry, baby!), and I gently moved the key into idle, and noise WENT away, leaving engine running this time!

2 HOURS LATER.

So, she's parked back over at my friend's house. I do have an ignition switch I'm going to swap out, was going to put up on Ebay, but I need it now.

I have my Haynes, will look over Clark's Garage, then I'm going to have to "Operate" on her, and see if that fixes it...

With all this heat, I'm NOT in a good mood for this, hahahah.

I had hoped to explore the overheating issue, and put that to bed - but nooo, this car won't let go of the fact I actually contemplated selling her...so she's punishing me. Just what I get for naming her "Kijo" which is Japanese for demoness.
