Okay, so the new place, Frank? Tentatively on Sunday. I think this is why she overheated the last get together, when we were hanging drywall.

Where do I find a thermostat!? I should do that at the same time, and I may need that big to small hose, off the waterpump, not sure.

All phone #s are lost in my cellphone, due to it being ran over by my boyfriend, so please email me numbers AGAIN, with exception of Frank's.

My car is at the 55 & 22, and it would make me feel better to have her followed. I also was trying to figure out if there was a black hood I could borrow/swap out for a bit, so she's less identifyable. THAT is why she sticks out like a sore thumb. I was going to purchase another black/black 944, but we need to move FIRST.

I'm trying to score a thermostat today...just being difficult having unwilling minions doing my bidding, blah! Any shop have them?

Unless Frank says otherwise, the place we hung drywall - I'll be talking with Frank today. I'll post in PMs address, not in public.

Lightbulb Next Sunday

I just can't sanction doing the waterpump, without the thermostat and I think that hose is possibly gone (big hole from waterpump to radiator).

Stupidly, I didn't realize no place I knew of stocked these parts until it just got too late.

I think the thermostat has shown signs of giving slowly, I just don't drive much (less than 12,000 miles in 2 years).

So let's move it to next Sunday, if it's okay with Frank, so I have things better planned out, and I'll have some scrumptious things, meaty and not, to BBQ.

If Frank isn't going to be able to help, then yes - we WILL need the Fly Wheel lock - I am lost at this point. I do not have the tools, guys - I'm that bad.

I should be able to get her up on ramps/jack stands and see what's ailing her, and I'm pretty sure it's not the block, due to WHERE she is leaking. Seems straight forward, just I'm 180 degrees from seeing WHERE.

At the worst case scenario, we can do it at the house it's parked at in Santa Ana, it's off the 55 & 22, with a nice sized driveway (my friend pouted, why ya taking the keys away? So you Do not KILL it!)

I am ok with it. Bring food and drinks and I have a BBQ grill and charcoal. Just got a decent stereo for the garage too.

I still should be able to make it..

BTW, I may be working up there again...
I will probably spend the weekdays in LA and weekends back here in San Diego / Ramona.

sidenote: anyone know of a room I can rent for "minimal use" ??? cheap ???

I will also be bringing camera in tow to document any procedures if need be.

I'm back in LA now (at least until December) but next weekend is Labor Day weekend, right? I've already got plans -- but otherwise I'd love to come help. Sorry.

Ok so Sunday September 3 marked on my calendar. Don, I'll caravan with you. We need to get a hold of ibkevin to see if the wants to come with us. You'll also might need a ride should worse come to worse; and that's covered.

Get yo *** up here boy!

I'm in too. The less driving I need to do on Labor Day weekend the better. Anyone feel like doing a set of timing belts and a ISV change on the 951 too?

Hey Jeff, I wouldn't mind learning how to do a timing belt on a 944, let alone a turbo. I'd be glad to help you out! I can take things apart good and put them back together....just don't ask me to tension the belts unless someone shows me how

oh by the way, do you guys want me to bring any eats or drinks???

When do the festivities begin?

I will bring some tools, consumables in the forms of rags and gloves. As for the food, I can bring some beer and soda.
