Nice to meet you Jeff, Alaina, Don, Brian, Kelly and Frank! Julie and Kevin always good to see you 2 again! Hopefully we can do this again soon! Brian you might wanna consider a second home down here with us Rennlisters so we can do this wrenching thing every weekend

Thanks again for your hospitality and company everyone!

As always, its a pleasure having everyone over. The house is progressing and hopefully the next GTG, there will be an awning outside the garage so 3 cars can park side to side. I have an air splitter so multiple impact tools can be used so we can work on different cars simultaneously. I hopefully will have the forklift's tires and clutch replaced so we can lift the car as high as we want for engine or other heavy duty work. The BBQ was great and Winny was surprised at how fast and how large a quantity of beer dissappeared I am hoping for a GTG every couple weeks so we can build a couple spec cars to go on the track. Let me know if you have good ideas for future GTGs.

The place looks nice Legoland and thanks again for having us over! Beer consumption is normal on these GTG's. I'm up for some spec car assembling!

I think she was referring to the amount and time involved especially that huge ghetto beer we were laughing over. Maybe a keg and tap will be in the plans?

The 40 oz Cobra was one of the more memorable images of the day, that and Julie's Taurus having an alarm The house is coming along nicely Frank and it was really, really weird having that huge lot filled with 944s.

It was also nice to meet everybody from down in San Diego. Andy photos don't do your car justice, it has to be one of the nicest black NAs I've seen ever. Kevin, your car is much nicer shape than you give yourself credit for.

Thanks for the compliments Kelly! Your 951 is knock out gorgeous! I can't believe you put as many miles a year on that thing as a Ferrari F40 owner I still want that roll bar btw!

BTW, are your ears still buzzing from us getting lost on the 710 and 405 on the way back to Legoland's?

I have to admit that Saturday was the most fun I've had in a long time...especially when it comes to getting lost and trying to signal Kevin that we were going the wrong way....

Thank God for Cobra and Heineken after that one eh guys?

Damn, I missed the BBQ and beer ....
by the time I got back there, all the lights were out
(waited over 30min for the train to pass as well

Keg sounds good for the next one.

LL, can you still do drivetrain stuff with the forklift ??
if so, that would be the way to go.
Having that other 944 on those stands was freakin me out...

hopefully soon, it will be time for my trans swap !!!!

Actually, having a forklift around me is even more dangerous than jackstands. 12k pounds can level walls especially when it has no brakes. We can always do a swap of some sort if you have something to swap for the trans. It should be an afternoon of work to take the one out of my car and put it in yours.

*sigh* I think I'm out for this one also. . . First off I'm vegetarian (not that it matters, we could always bring our own stuff). Secondly I think I'm getting in the car late Friday or early Saturday and heading out of town. I'm feeling totally constrained by this city - been trapped here too long. Might go up to San Luis Obispo or Yosemite or Kennedy Meadows and just sit in a hammock and ride my bike and read a bit. I've been trapped in this concrete hell without a vacation or any respite from a list of projects to do for well over two years (both work-related and personal). Actually in terms of a real vacation (like where you actually go someplace for a week or so with no "obligations") it's been six years since I've had one. I'm burnt and I know it. Time for a couple days R&R and to simply say "screw it" to all the little stuff. Not to worry; it'll be there when I get back. . .
