Stig, any improvement on that hood of mine and the front fenders (spot rust) and the rims would rock!

What would need to be done?

McFly, how close are you to me? I'm near the Orange crush, a la Crystal Cathedral.

I'm thinking we run to autozone and buy every single can of 'auto trim black' that we can and avoid drinking until after we finish with your car so that the booz will have double the effects with smelling paint all day

My end of week schedule just got loaded (read-spills into the weekend) I'm trying to get over to the shop to powder coat the MAF intake as we speak.

I'll know Friday night.

BTW: A 924 owner in LB is interested so I'll send him a link to this.

I am in. Should I bring the 951, or my girlie new blanco miata miata complete with ricer wipers, ricer intake, a stereo that sounds like a cheap walkman and leaky waterpump?

Andy, bring the 928. I am thinking of getting one soon and would so love to see an S4, especially the engine bay and its serviceability. But then again its your call with gas the way it is.

Nope.

I've decided to do the following all at once:

- upgrade to 3-piece x-member
- upgrade to 2-piece x-over pipe
- change t-belts
- repair oil pan gasket w/ Danno's "bombproof" method
- install myswiss pan gasket retainers
- install 250# springs
- change rod bearings
- change oil & filter (duh)
- install a missing copper gasket from turbo to x-over pipe.
- maybe one or two other things I forgot.

At the moment I have everything I need to do the work except to get some Yamabond-4 (easy to find, I'm getting two tubes when I go to the motorcycle shop this weekend to pick up some parts for my bike). I've located a crossover pipe that I'll send in to Lindsey as a "preemptive core" (to avoid having to sit around with my thumb up my *** for God-knows-how-long while they sit on my money and try to decide if my core is worth the refund and then drag their feet, etc. . . ) so I have to buy it and get it shipped here. I already have a crossmember as a preemptive core for that, and I need to order the myswiss retainers and pay Kevin for the springs (already have 'em).

So I figure at least another 3-4 weeks to get all the pipe & retainers, ship the pipe & crossmember to Lindsey, have 'em "okay" them for use as cores, then place my order for the 2-piece x-over & 3-piece x-member based on that, have 'em ship the new **** to me, etc.

So I'll probably be working on my n/a this weekend (gotta' fix the dropped axle and a windshield wiper assembly). Oh, and install my new seats probably. And hopefully my BBS RS wheels will show up today or tomorrow, so I'll install those too. If I'm really ambitious I'll pull the dash & put in the "perfect" on I have (my "unicorn") that's sitting in the garage.

So it ain't like I've got shortage of **** to do. Bring ur 928 and we'll go troll for wenches. Or we can go pick fights with the crappy Mustangs that cruise by. Or the Mexican lowriders. We'll own 'em. Let's race for pink slips.

I'm a little slap-happy / overly-caffienated today. Can you tell?

As if the Mustangs in San Diego haven't been beat up enough by me. You're lucky, I have 4 cups of coffee in me and a sinus headache fromt he construction they are doing in the other suite next door. Dust is coming through the vent system.

Anyways, if you're doing all that work this weekend, maybe we should take the wrenching party to your place, that is if you want to have the party there. We can always decide the default location.

Well, I kinda' look at it the way I look at my big pile-o-****-to-do at work, or my laundry list of projects, etc. - I'll just get to what I can get to for now. . . Only way to prevent burnout - and it works. . . you DO make progress on the jobs little by little until they're done. . .

So to answer your question I've got no formal plans other than a usual weekend - a little wrenching, a little goofing off, a little working on the computer, a little studying for my exams, a little cleaning up, a little running errands, etc. Basically my usual ratrace. You're more than welcome to swing by if you want though. . .
