Default Exciting supercharger info for all 944 owners. COME IN HERE!

Hey guys, I know some of you remember me and some of you new guys don't. I'm the guy with the white custom cabrio who is always asking about damn superchargers.

Well I've been in contact with Carl over at 928motorsports.com about a supercharger for the 944 series of cars. If you go to his site you will see that they seem to be a quality outfit and that his products seem to be well recieved.

Well, we were talking about superchargers for the 944 8 valve and 16 valve and also the 968. He has interest in making a kit for all three. He said that it was indeed possible to have a supercharger for our cars which keeps the AC and that he needs a donor or guinee pig vehicle for about 4 months.

I believe he is in Texas but I can't remember. What I'm saying is that he really doesn't get requests for 944 and that if he guaged the interest was there for such a kit that they would produce one. You should email him or call him and see what he can do for us.

I also mentioned that we are looking for something reasonably priced. With all respect to the current manufacturers the price is just a little to high. I know you are small shops and need to recoup your R/D costs and I respect that, don't think I'm bagging on you becuase I also mentioned to Carl that the kits from Speedforce racing seem to be the best out there. Real quality stuff, just out of the reach of most 944 owners unfortunately.

So if you want a supercharger for the NA 944s and 968 please go to the website or call. Hopefully in about 6 months we can have something.

Judging from his responses I think if he gets a car to work on THIS WILL HAPPEN. He said he has interest in this for a while but like all business men he works and spends all his time on what pays the bills for him which is the 928. But I'm sure if a donor car surfaces this will happen.

Oh, and he is in Wis not TX, horicon Wissconsin I believe.

Hehe, I have a car he can use, but I'm a little ways away.
He can use it if I get a free supercharger out of the deal.

I will get in touch with him. I dont mind loaning a car to someone if I get a free product if I am insured against damages they might do to the car. However 4months is a long time.

Too bad hes in Texas. I would be able to find a cheap 944 and loan it to him... But only if Id be able to get a free product or an incredibly large discount....say 75%?

Good luck with this! I hope it happens.

He is in Wissconsin not Texas. He assured me no damage would come to the car. Also, about "free" c'mon dude, nothing is free. He did say there would be a discount. Any takers in WI?

I'm not in Texas.

928 Motorsports is located about 1 hour North of Madison Wisconsin, about 2.5 hours North of Chicago, about 30 minutes South of Fon du Lac.

Here is our site: www.928motorsports.com
Information about us, photos, hell even racing videos are at that site.

We manufacture and sell a supercharger kit for the V8 928.
We have been in business 4 years now, and between 32v and 16v Supercharger kits, we have 28 supercharged 928's out there at present.

Although we focus on the 928, we do have a number of 944 items in our catalog, ignition wires, service covers, hood liners, tools. My son has a 951 and I have 3 928's, 2 supercharged and 1 convertible.

Last year, I asked Rennlisters on this forum about SC kits for the non-turbo 944. I have an interest in making a kit for that car - but I stopped because I learned there were 3 kits on the market already.

I do not know why all the supercharger kits for the 944 sacrifice the Air Conditioner to get it done - we have found a way to supercharge the 928 and the air conditioner still works. I need to have a non-turbo 944 for a little while to see what's up with that.

And I am interested in a 968 setup too.

I know where Horicon is. I'm sorta interested, but would need to know price details. I'm in Gurnee, IL about 2 hours out.
