Damn. "girls on trampolines" is one of those things I'll miss from 944fest04. I'll miss the Mower-X from 03.

Im POSITIVE 944Fest 05 will still be bigger and better by far. I have nothing but confidence in Dan P. and his minions to once again blow us all away with this "Mother of all 944 GTG's"

For those of you who havent been- here are MY 944Fest observations:
Beer, guitars and fire do mix.
Dortmunder makes it difficult to do a burnout- even with a 440 Charger.
Go-Peds should not be operated while drinking.
Sleeping outside is acceptable. and please wear clothes.
The cherries ARE spiked.
There is always room for Jello.
Stay away from the man in the Yellow Hawiian shirt referring to himself as "Julie". He's trouble.
Expect to make new friends and embarass old ones.
The young'uns like the fireworks.
Post whoring is a GOOD thing.
Be discreet- there are cameras everywhere.
No photo's after 10 PM.


What happens at 944Fest STAYS at 944 fest. (the observations listed are public knowledge) It's BETTER than Vegas.

Thanks Chris.. In my defense, it wasn't the Dortmunder but the lack of a trans kickdown return spring that made churning the 15 year old 295/50/15s tricky. That same malady melted down the trans 70 miles later. And it is not drinking and driving IF you never leave the driveway, and the car isn't exactly moving, is it? I rest my case, officer!

My main 944fest observation is that having a lot of friends is a great thing. Friends who will help you swap a trans, tension your belts, offer free beer and shots, wash your car for ya, give you advice on your ride, top off your mug, sing a song for you, offer their home for a mock invasion, make you laugh 'till beer shoots out your nose, and help you climb up a steep cliff in the middle of the night.

That is what it is all about, isn't it?

Thanks for reminding me.. IF I can get the 67 down there, she gets a shot on the dyno!
