I was threatened with murder upon mentioning theedge's suggestion.

On another note, how about a bachelor party?

I was gonna suggest the exact same thing.. the 'Fest would be a better bachelor party than a wedding reception! A few miles up the road is this place called the "Gentleman's Club" but I wouldn't know anything about it.

Anytime Sid. T-belt should be no biggie.

Uh.. how are the wrenching facilities? Worse comes to worse we could do the t-belts at a local garage.

Oh and Chris

The Exploder is driving great. Much better as a second snow car than an 88 Celica.

I casually mentioned (OK< she read this thread) those ideas to my co-host, the rarely mentioned Kate, and she nixxed it big time. I don't think she's so concerned with my behavior (!) as the 'degrading' position I'd be putting the cheerleaders in.
Let us not forget I'm the father of two pre-school daughters, and in 10 years or so I don't think I'd be too happy if my girls went to wash cars for a pack of .......well........ whatever it is we are.

Anything else we could use to lure you in, Sid?

As for wrenching, I'm afraid we'll have to make due with a big "tech tent". I'll bring a bunch of tools, and we should be able to have three cars at a min under there at any time. Probably on packed gravel (yeech) but maybe on asphalt. Snow Trails wasn't comfortable opening up their service garage to us, and I understand why not.. lots of valuable tools and full of winter stuff in storage.

I'm going to be packed pretty tight if I am bringing a wife and a guitar, but are there any tools I should plan on bringing with me? I am thinking I should bring the coolant pressure tester (makes bleeding the coolant system a snap) and the P9201 and assorted tools. Or should I pack th ewhole case, like I did in '03?

Lisa, by the way, will string me up if I wind up spending too much time wrenching this year, so either one of the other gals will have to get her into a conversation about knitting or some other gal friendly conversation, or else I will have limited wrenching time.

I am stoked about this!

Regards,

That is hilarious, Scott, that we need to find you a wife sitter so you can get GREAZZY. I plan to have my wife around, I'm not sure what other activities we could dream up to show them some fun. (There are a couple of ponds that look pefect for panfish and bass, nice hills and woods around for hiking. I've got a friend with a NICE horse farm 10 minutes away, I'm betting my kids will go there for a ride sometime over the weekend.)
As for the tools, I'll bring a big box with all the basics, jack stands, jack, etc.. probably no air tools though (my compressor needs 220) Feel free to bring any specialty stuff. I've got the powerbleeder for brakes and a couple of other special tools, but you never know what we'll need nor can you have too much. You would have loved the tech session 04, John D helping swap out Rock's tranny. I'm leaning toward having a "proffesional" mechanic that specializes in 944s on hand, at least Sat when the dyno is churning those guys have a way of tweaking a screw and setting 10HP free. It would suck to have a chance to dyno tune and not have the right guy there to take advantage of it.
Today I spent 8 hours driving all around the E side of Cleveland hunting for trophy toppers, I found 1 great one and a handful of those smaller, pull string guys. That was a long day, plus I had the kids with me. Oh well, better than sitting around watching cartoons I guess!
