when you say Hi Beam Flasher.. are you talking about the " flash to pass feature " ? that is a different set of contacts in the hi/low beam switch so i can see that being on a relay.
without the extra relays, all power for the headlights go through the stalk switch for both normal hi-lo and flash-to-pass headlight operation.

The external relays remove the headlight power from the switch.

I know Harry .. i started the thread lol .... but there was talk of a 68 or 69 having a factory " relay for high beams". I was curious if that was in the flash to pass .. circuit.

Yes, the high beam flash signal does travel through a relay which is located behind the oil pressure gauge. If you are in the luggage compartment, looking at the backside of the dash (looking toward the rear of the car), the relay is located on the left, just aft of the turn signal relay. Having small hands will help you reach that tiny cylinder.

68 and 69 Wiring diagrams for reference. They do have some type of hi-beam relay.

just a better pic of the switch showing how the centre current carrying contact is moved between the two outside contacts ( high and low beam,,, ) via a plunger that goes through a hole in the lower contact.
