I'll try and get a better picture later, but it's definitely not fabric. It's a hard smooth plastic.

A-pillar trim mixed with a non-RS Boxster part during assembly? First the centre console and now this. The mistakes are confounding! Begs the question what other corners are being cut during production at Osna

I can confirm non-WP cars do not have Race-Tex A-pillars. They are the same as the standard Spyder.

I never know how to read these things but it looks like my PTS request was accepted in the system cause it just populated with dates, at least that’s what I’ve been told. It’s still A 2025 but now with an 8/28 freeze date and a 11/15 dealer arrival. I had originally planned to do NATO but having had green Porsches before in the end I decided to go with the newly reintroduced GTS Red. Very excited!

Pretty sure this is not a mistake, but a late minute change just like the absence of the underside aero trim pieces. Non-WP cars have the standard A-pillars, WP cars have Race-Tex... Simple as that. Which I'm personally fine with.

Great color. I think it will look fantastic.

Beautiful. It’s about time they add some red options. Congratulations.

This makes sense, I just wanted to confirm it wasn’t an error. Thanks!

GTS red is my favorite red, I've tried so many times on so many different cars but never could get it to happen. So congrats!

I may get a new Targa GTS just so I can get GTS Red

Did your car come with non race-tex A-pillars? According to the configurator even base RS interiors get it.

Front aero, my May build didn’t get it. The only other car delivered by my dealer didn’t have it either.

Hmmm... Interesting... Haha... now I'm going to reach out to my dealer and inquire. Thanks for pointing it out.

Thank you! Was that also true of the 4rs? Having seen so many launch spec reviews both with and without WP, figured door pillars were racetex as a default

The A pillars are 100% supposed to be in Race-Tex!
I'm starting to wonder if I should really part with my flawlessly built in Zuffenhausen regular 718 Spyder.
If my RS doesn't arrive 100% correct they can keep it. Sorry for the rant but at $200K I expect better...

Golf clap.

GTS Red is such a beautiful, deep, non-metallic color. At least one 987.2 Cayman R was produced with it and I’ve drooled over it ever since.
