Final update from me: I picked up my SRS on Saturday! Initial thoughts after a whole weekend of backroads driving is that this car is fun, epic, and special (in ways I didn't realize until getting it and driving). Everyone in here still waiting: it's worth it and more.

It was great meeting you and your buddies.
I knew you would have a great drive. It's hard to put the the sum of these parts into words, you just had to experience it for yourself. So alive, so connected.
Did your cheeks hurt from all the smiling?
I am sure you got lots of stares. I've gotten thumbs up and comments from so many. From kids, teens, adults, 80 year old grannies, motorcyclists, bus & truck drivers and even police. Parked or in motion, this is one of the greats.
Have an awesome summer being one of the lucky ones.

I have (prematurely?) given up on being on the Wolfsburg, and now hope to catch a ride on the Siem Aristotle at the end of the month.

@MattDFW Use the TYD hack to get the ship (I can't take credit for it, but Just J posted this in another thread):Originally Posted by Just J

It is possible to identify what boat you're on with a bit of web browser knowledge. Assuming you're using Chrome on a PC, do this:
- Go to the TYD website.
- Press the F12 key
- Click on the Network tab (you may have to click on a ">>" symbol to see the Network tab if it is not immediately visible.
- In the box to filter the requests type "api.porsche" (with no quotes)
- Refresh the page
- You should see a number of requests in the list but you want the one that has the name "USMFXXXXX" where FXXXXX is your commission number and the type is hr (NOT the one that says preflight). Select that one.
- After selecting that one, click on the response tab. You will see a whole bunch of textual (JSON) details about your car.
- In those details you will see something like this:” ident":"|MO_9283875"
- In a new browser tab, enter the url "https://www.vesselfinder.com/vessels/details/9283875". But replace the numbers (only the numbers) with the numbers in your data.
Can you help?
I am trying this on Macbook using Safari and I am at a dead end.
(1) I assume track your dream web site is the login page at my.porsche.com? Or am I at the wrong place? The instructions were were not very specific.
(2) I went to the login page of my.porsche.com. For me the F12 key is a volume-up button. When I try using command, option, control, or function, these don't seem to change the function of the F12 key.
(3) [Since I cannot get past (2), I have nothing further to do at this time.]

Sure, easy stuff.
I didn’t use the F12 key.
Using the mouse, right click on the screen—pretty much anywhere—then select “Inspect Element”
Once you refresh the Network Page I just scrolled down the numerous data elements on the left side to find the one that obviously contained the commission number. Click on that.
It’ll be obvious, but the IMOXXXXX is what you’re looking for.

Hope I don't have (renewed) nightmares of my college computer science class

And yeah it certainly gets attention, even in this "subtle" spec. But not the bad kind. Seems like it's either folks admiring and not knowing what it is, and the very few who really "if you know, you know".

Your status changed to indicate you left port, right? Mine still says Arrived in German Port (TYD) and Invoiced (last result before Left Port on PVMS).
But you are right...could easily be status lag. If I assume I missed it, then I create the opportunity to be pleasantly surprised.

Both roll bar plastic end caps popped out first time manipulating the weather protector. I know this has been mentioned but worth foot stomping. I was expecting it so just caught them.
What is everyone using to secure?
My car was delivered with the sun shade tensioner cable not connected. Found this while still in the showroom. Dealer didn’t check, so suspect they’re delivered like this.

Glad you recovered yours, TX.
As I had an early car, I warned everyone about this. These are impossible to replace and they can very easily disappear. Parts department shows no part for these, so I imagine they come with the top assembly only until an aftermarket solution is available. I believe someone on here volunteered to fabricate these when I first mentioned the issue.
These pesky little plastic caps can be easily bonded using an appropriate epoxy adhesive. I recommend everyone prepare to do this at first sight of his car. Nothing crazy like high temperature stuff is needed. I used this one from Home Depot, which is rated up to 250 degrees F — worked like a charm:
