Did you have a 987 Spyder? I have been bitten by the 987 Spyder bug and I’m very curious about that car.
Yes, that’s what started me down the Spyder rabbit hole.

Quick question from a newbie. Does the TYD hack work for Canadian cars also? Thanks in advance.

mine arrived at the port 6/18 according to tyd so should have missed the Wolfsburg but then the delivery window moved up from 7/4 to 6/29..so who knows

I would think so since it's from the website details.

As I had an early car, I warned everyone about this. These are impossible to replace and they can very easily disappear. Parts department shows no part for these, so I imagine they come with the top assembly only until an aftermarket solution is available. I believe someone on here volunteered to fabricate these when I first mentioned the issue.

These pesky little plastic caps can be easily bonded using an appropriate epoxy adhesive. I recommend everyone prepare to do this at first sight of his car. Nothing crazy like high temperature stuff is needed. I used this one from Home Depot, which is rated up to 250 degrees F — worked like a charm:

Hey 348SStb, any reason for the preference of this one over the black one?

Thanks in advance.

Almost ready to be released into the wild.

Full wrap, 10mil A pillar forward, standard rest.

Left factory protection in place, so double protected in those areas.

With the drive down from Plano, about halfway to run-in complete.

My freeze date just moved from 8/20 to 6/26. Anyone else move up by 2months?

Anyone see anything critical missing before my build locks?

Yes.

- auto-dimming mirrors
- voice control (it’s free)
- light design package (interior is pretty dark at night time without it)

@McClown

You’re welcome. Not at all, it’s just that Home Depot here stateside carries the tan; it seems the black is another color variant of the same exact stuff.

Didn't realize there was "factory protection". Details on that/where those are supposed to be?
