Lovely. Mine is 386. Began production mid april, was supposed to finish 5/3 but the completion date has now been pushed 3 times. Most recent "estimate" was that it would finish yesterday, but it still didn’t say that it’s completed.
I'm worried what I will see on My Porsche on Monday.

Maybe that explains my cars delay. (Standard wheels).

If it will cause me to miss european delivery, I'll spend up for the mags!

I love this spec!!! Should I get an allocation I'm going with this minus the WP (to save on cost). That's how I submitted my order demand.congrats!! I thought about painting the wheels the 2.7RS blue too (probably will)

Did you already have a V200+ order and the stnd wheel was removed?

If this is a July build and hadn’t been confirmed PTS months ago, then yes not available.
Allocation done and my spec but we had to modify the wheels. I am doubting the August delivery though, this seems way too fast.

So with the stop order on std wheels, everyone must order WP?!

Convenient way for Porsche to charge at least $29k more per otherwise standard wheel and non-Weissach order, no?

I hope not but if that checks out to be true then my dealer can give my upcoming allocation to someone else.
If I can't order my RS exactly the way I want it (no WP and std wheels) I'll just keep my non RS Spyder and be still happy with that toy too.

I wonder if it isn't that regular wheels are in short supply, but that they ordered too many mags. Maybe the 3rs has a much higher mag take rate, and we are a more "discerning" crowd. Mags make no sense (IMO), unless you are an FU money buyer.

It’s one ill-defined data point.

If something is on constraint someone will get a PSVMS screenshot.

Just remember all delays attributed to WP last month…now all have to get WP?

Whiplash…

@360MVA

Do you have the opportunity to view this information on the computer screen at the dealer? Dealers have often misspoken on topics like this; sometimes they operate based on the rumor mill; and sometimes the Porsche ordering system can be buggy. My sales guy in the past has shown me stop sale memoranda on his screen. Not sure what the situation is but I’m hoping you can save the $27k (or the $12k if you had already specified Weissach).

More than likely a poor SA.

One thing that forces mags is white gold metallic finish. Only available with mags.

Dunno, just spitballing…

I am going to run by there tomorrow. They did tell me the order would not load and the local Porsche rep informed them of the stop order. I do find silly when other models are using the exact same wheels.

Haha…I’ll have a pristine set of forged aluminum if someone forced into mags and wants to swap!

Yesterday was delivery day!

Time was a limited but I wanted to get out and at least snap a few pics! The windows were tinted the day before and still curing, so couldn’t roll down the windows. Had the top off for a bit and then had to put it on as it started raining.

A few points about the car so far (coming from a 981 GT4 and 991.2 GT3 Touring owner):
  • The car feels very similar to the GT4 overall (driving at like 4/10, considering the car isn’t broken in), but is noticeably more comfortable (the suspension).
  • Those intakes sound amazing! And I’m only revving to ~5,000rpm so far (following the Preuninger method).
  • The top is really not that hard! My gf and I took it on and off a few times, it’s really pretty simple. It’s definitely a bit trickier by yourself, but totally doable. Just more of a hassle walking around the car several times…the most awkward part is probably putting the roof in place, at least for me (have only done it once myself so far).
  • Cannot wait until this thing is broken in!
  • The PDK is kinda cool. I had to sit in traffic for an hour or so and I have to admit, it was nice not having to clutch. That being said, I can already see how the PDK could get a little boring if you don’t live near twisty mountain roads or track the car a lot. Either way I’m privileged enough to own a couple other manual cars so I’m not too worried. I’m actually looking forward to trying it out more aggressively after break-in. Have not tried PDK Sport yet.

My only little OCD complaint so far is that you can’t fully colour-match these things. I probably would have done CCB if there were yellow seat/latch pull options etc…and it still bugs me the 12 o’clock mark is yellow…but oh well. It’s my first time owning a convertible (and have only driven others a handful of times)…man, I wish I lived in the mountains. Will have to plan some road trips.

If anyone has any questions let me know!

These photos aren’t great but there aren’t too many shots of black ones out in the wild so I figured I’d share!
