4.0 GTS PDK sports plus manual 3rd gear same speeds 46-67mph 2.4 seconds. SO WAY WAY slower.

i did 3 runs in each, same times for both every time.

More interesting in 2nd gear the RS drops to 1.4 seconds but the GTS now only 1.7 seconds so a smaller gap in time now but still slower by 0.3 seconds. it's hard to test as the 4RS has shorted ratio's but it's just faster any where at any speeds by quite a lot !!! WOT 100kph-200kph 6.7 vs 8.6 so now a 2 seconds gap which is 62-124mph though the gears.
Any speeds people want me to do just post em.
So while reviews and butt dynos say the GTS picks up and has more torque lower down it just don't it's **** vs the 4RS any where at any speed. but on it's own at high revs the GTS is a mega car and very fast imo, none of these cars like low revs.

Wait. Are you serious?

You ran the 4RS against the GTS 4.0 in the same gear (3rd and 2nd) through the same speed range? Did you bother to check the respective RPMs the the engines were running at? The celebrated short-geared 4RS against the notorious long-geared GTS? And you conclusion is the 4RS is faster everywhere? And some people bought this?

Until someone comes up with an intelligent test I will rely on my butt dyno. Thank you.

your butt dyno needs recalibration.

When you can't defend a dumb test and a dumber conclusion, the best you can do is to call someone "dull"?

My biggest problem is dialing out the understeer with my 4RS on track. Speed is not the problem.
My 4RS was also prone to understeer especially after passing the apex.. I already had aftermarket rear toe links and the front camber at -2.7 with some shims and still did it too much for my driving style. Then I fitted a pair of Porsche Motorsport RS front camber plates to get -3.2 front camber and this seems to have cured it for now. As I get more used to the car and hopefully faster, then I expect other mods might be called for but pretty happy with it for now at least.
Its a fantastic car and you really appreciate the compact feeling when driving it compared to the larger 992s. You also seem to sit lower in it which gives a more connected feel with the road. All this talk about it lacking torque is a load of nonsense and not something I feel in real life. I found it very noticeable in the 991.1 GT3 but not on the 4RS.

why was the test dumb, you don’t own the car so have no clue it seems about much worth talking about, so it’s my last reply to you.
there is nothing to defend regarding the test it’s like a side to side pull in the same gear. The GTS lost in 2nd and 3rd gear by quite a large margin, it don’t get any more simple.
if you knew how to drive the car you would not wot in 3rd at 4k revs anyway, you change gear, that seems lost on a few posters esp you. Learn how to drive, you might understand the car then. Or stick to v8 turbo's and have the car do everything for you.
ffs some people moan about nothing but what’s annoying are what amounts to telling fibs about the 4rs which I don't get. Which is why I say you are just Trolling the owners or potential owners now with lies. A few people know me I am the 1st to point out issues in the car and it’s not the power train dyno plot or gears, Only issue for me is rear rebound over bumps, and the lack of bite in all these new copper free pads, so having to spend £1k on new pads which work is annoying,

Your conclusion of your gut feeling and butt GPS is the dumbest of all of them...

Do you 4RS guys always fight like this? This is looking as bad as the 992 GT3/RS guys. Turbo/S and 991 GT3/RS guys rarely fight, they’re happy campers.

The higher price point 4RS / SRS has definitely attracted a …different element to this once humble(r) board. Lots of peacocks now strutting around.

People have their identities too wrapped up with their cars. We don’t design or build these cars, we just buy and drive them.

Porsche offers lots of flavors of cars, just pick the one(s) you like and don’t make it a crusade to complain about the ones you didn’t pick.

Which 991 GT3/RS forum were you on? All I remember is derision from 991.1 GT3 haters for the last 4 years . . . . .

I now get to be one of the cool kids as a member of the "entitled - self impressed" crowd for a change. Life is Good!

100%. I spent 12 years on the 997.2 RS forum and you couldn't have met a nicer bunch of helpful and gracious guys. I come over here and it seems like some of these guys are bunch of first time GT cars buyers trying to pee on their tree..

I don't remember seeing all that. I had my 991.1 GT3 for 8 years, put 42k miles and ~100 track days on it. I loved the car, and still miss it. Only reason I sold it was because the engine was replaced twice under warranty, and the transmission was replaced not under warranty, and I didn't want to have to replace the engine out of warranty. The 991.2 3RS is a better car, but at double the price.

A non opf 991.2 RS isa nice car for sure, again very hard to choose a car now they are all the same price.
991.2 RS, 992 GT3 and 4RS all just about do the same thing, pick the one you like and enjoy it.
I am not a track rat or after times, so the 4rs for me was just a fun toy vs the other two.
