what is the base for the 4RS? It doesn’t look like the 4 dot.

Glad to hear that. If four dot is part of PDLS (not plus) and that's standards on the GT4RS I'll be very happy.

unless a car is built with LEDs to start, you can’t simply replace the other lights with LED lights.

Does the PDLS+ camera also control the automatic rain sensing wipers?

I don't think so. I recall that the person here on RL that retrofitted his car with PDLS+ LEDs had to add the camera. I can verify that this weekend, I'll be meeting a friend for coffee on Saturday. My Cayman has PDLS Bi-xenons and rain sensor, his Cayman T had PDLS+ LEDs.

No. Two different sensors.

PDLS
Not sure where you are getting your info, but this is wrong.

The standard lights for the 4RS are: "Bi-Xenon™ headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights" These lights are not 4 dot and aren't PDLS.

Here is the standard headlight for the 4RS:

hink he's stating that if you opt for the PDLS lights (edit: Not available on the GT4RS) vs the standard GT4/GT4RS/Spyder lights, you get the upgraded Bi-Xenons with the 4-Dot DRLs. The PDLS Bi-Xenons also have a higher wattage (35w vs 25w) bulb and dynamic cornering.

This is PDLS with the silver bits (NOT available on any 4.0 models. Only available in the black shown below on 4.0 models)

This is PDLS with the black bits (standard GTS headlamps, optional GT4/Spyder headlamps).

This is the base non-PDLS Bi-Xenon

Yeah, that option isn't available at all for the 4RS. There are only two options, the non-4 dot base light and the PDLS+ discontinued lights.

That's my point. Only the old-style lights are now available for the 4RS.

Ahh gotcha. I'm too much of a peasant to be in the GT4RS configurator

Very helpful, I looked at the headlights on all the 718's on the lot yesterday at PNH. I took a bunch of pics, and I guess the PDLS ones I saw only had the silver bits, didnt see one with the black bits.

So with the Spyder configurator you can select PDLS with black, that would get rid of the chrome squiggly piece which is what I wanted.

Does anyone know if we are able to get the PDLS on the Spyder once the PDLS+ was dropped or we stuck with base lights?

I was not given that option and they backtracked my freeze date, leaving me without choice.
