PDLS+ Availability Discussion

Retrofit is pretty much a non-starter for either of the Xenons. If not because of complexity, then because of cost. The parts list is out there. I started adding up and just half the parts on the list alone total up to over $10k.

Has anyone heard if these will be available again, or if this is it and they're simply not going to make / offer / supply them again?

The messaging is that they're entirely off the table for the duration of the MY2023 run. Porsche could suddenly show differently one day, but best to operate with the assumption they won't be.

PCCBs were also only for a few months. I suspect these will be available to order again soon. I can’t wait because I have a PTS GT4 build slot which I may not get at a later date down the line so have opted for the black Xenon’s with PDLS.

Yeah, one has to be positively insane to attempt the upgrade. The cost/benefit is worse than leather seat backs on the 2 seater....

I have them on my Spyder and they are fine, but I wish the chrome was Black. I can get them taken apart and painted but I would have to remove the front bumper, etc. to remove them...not as easy as on the last model!

Just returned from a chat with my SA (Canada) to review my current V200 build. On the drive in, I ruminated over my sound system options (1. base system = save some cash and upgrade aftermarket; 2. BOSE standalone; 3. Go all in with Burmeister upgrade).
They confirmed that the BOSE system was still in my build, albeit as a standalone option. The opinions here vary widely on whether it's "good enough" or that it's "Pontiac quality".
Going base system + aftermarket upgrade didn't seem like a viable option, as I don't really want some guy taking off my panels to upgrade speakers, so it came down BOSE vs Burmeister. Several have weighed in with the "you only live once" perspective, so I bit the bullet and went Burmeister for an incremental $4200 or so. To make myself feel better, I removed the high-gloss black wing, saving $750, so I'm (only) out an additional $3500.
YOLO, right?

I hope the PDLS+ lights come back because I still want a 4RS allocation and the lights are one of the best features on my Spyder.

Finalised my specs for a Cayman GTS 4.0 at the dealer today. The SA confirmed my allocation will be in October. He also confirmed that PDLS+ and BOSE are included. BTW U am in Australia.

Good for you! The PDLS+ is the best option. Terrible that the rest of the world can't get them...

Hoping like the yellow stitching, these will eventually come back. The fact that Porsche is still testing cars with them and that OZ is still getting them might be a good indication that they aren't completely dead (yet?). Though I love them and swear by them, I wouldn't give up an allocation for them! 👍🏼
