The redline is the same. I think i may have lifted off a smidge early on that run because i was looking down at the odometer on my customer's car that said 2500 miles and i may have experienced a moment of weakness knowing the stress i was putting on her!
The tune is much like the exhaust; lots of people will tell you they have the missing chunks that others don't but these guys are all good and they're all going to squeeze out every drop there is.
See note above. A good example is how a few years back we had a tuner that had a file that made a lot of power...for a few minutes. Most of these folks jack up a bunch of IGN timing which makes power until things get hot quickly and if you don't have decent gas, you can't even use the power. It makes good power for 3 pulls and then for the next 3 it makes crap. If they're good, the car will make the same number on the dyno over and over and over again and this is what i have seen from the two i have tested. At the end of the day, the hardware and the software should dictate your decision.
I swear i am not trying to be! I'm just like this with all of the guys...let's just take it slow through Memorial Day!
They will not let me have the keys to the kingdom just yet!
I wouldn't say they're "meaningless." It tells a story. Just because you don't have scaling on the side and don't have numbers, you have a pencil and a ruler. If you assumed that the car made 350rwhp, 375whp, 400rwhp, you could divide up the blocks and make a guestimate as to how much it makes.
I think i did that by lifting off a tick early. And since i did it on the Cobb run, it doesnt look like i'm sandbagging since it would be helping to run it higher!
Can you do me a favor please? Can you show that person two posts up how you did your homework? lol..
I think that this file started life as a hot rod GTS file. I am sure i have this wrong but if GT4=Spyder and Cayman GTS 4.0L > Boxster GTS 4.0L, then the Boxster GTS 4.0L owner is going to see the biggest gain since they're driving around on a modified GT4 file unlocked for their torque limited Boxster 4.0L GTS. With exhaust mods of the headers and OPFs that person could conceivably see 60rwhp gains from exhaust and a flash.

I’m pretty sure CGTS=BGTS in the power department, just like GT4 and Spyder are equal.

The numbers are relatively easy to approximate since there is a graph underlying the plots.
Peak hp occurs at about 7500-8000 rpm and the gain is 8/7.5
Peak torque occurs at about 5500 rpm and the gain is 6.25/5.75
This translates to 440hp and 335lb-ft, assuming stock figures of 414hp and 309lb-ft.

Is there a bigger benefit if you delete the OAP's but then run 91? Sadly in CA so no 93 here.

You know me...I'm Cargraphic til i die. They're not as expensive as some of the other offerings but that's probably because people are charging more for the same thing based on over inflated numbers! If you call AJ at the shop we can get you some coming!

When we dumped the OAPs we saw a difference up top mostly because it let out the hot exhaust gas and allowed the engine to make more power. It's going to be a gain for sure.

Looks like they're waiting for EPA approval, so it is out of their hands at this point. We all know how slowly government agencies move...
