I was offered a slot for 100 lol

Seems to be a mix of MY22/23. This is probably going to be their main allotment of allocations until bonus slots trickle through.

LOL come on you know thats a bull**** comparison. Whats the most people get on discounts 5-10k? Not sure that compares to the 100k+ bull**** we've been seeing on GT3/GT4RS.

Heard similar to above via my connection about a couple of allocations dropping and being spoken for. What doesn't sit right is that this is going to be it for the rest of the year. Why in hell would you make such a small smattering of cars when you know you can ring out more $$$$. We're going to make enough of these so everyone can get one to paraphrase AP. Maybe dealers are creating a sense of false scarcity. Who knows; no facts to back this up...just intuition. We shall see. Good luck to all on getting a car. I won't believe anything until I see a locked order.

The GT4RS is arriving late in the 2022MY for Porsche so that's why there'll probably only be a small number of allocations for 2022. If the switchover to 2023MY happens in July or August then you'll see more allocations drop in a few months.

This is why people shouldn't get too worked up about there being such a small number of GT4RS's. Some dealers will try to tell you they're only ever gonna get one or two so here's a huge markup. But Porsche is not going to spend all this money developing a car only to have it in production for like 2 or 3 months.

It's also possible that they'll stretch the 2022 model year to later in the calendar year, but it doesn't seem likely.

Or as mentioned by ExMB they could start 2023 in May for US Spec cars, exactly what they did with the 981 GT4.......

Of course stealers will play the scarcity card, I bet there's only going to be less than 500 cars for MY2022 in the US. I'll wait patiently for my turn with my dealer after they take care of the whales. My guess is that I might get an allocation late this year which is fine with me.

Default Got my allocation today

Just a quick note to say I got my allocation from my dealer today. As I said before I have had my deposit down for the RS since 2 days after the GT4 rolled out so that is 4 years or so. They told me they are getting 4 total and that includes their VIP cars. Only 1 VIP took their allocation so I am in. About ready to pee my pants 😂

Talked with my dealer this week, sounds like I have a fair shot at getting an allocation - only because I would be trading in my ‘21 GT4. They offered to buy it back (GT4) at MSRP and sell me the RS at MSRP… so do I really want to do this if I get the call? My build clocks in at $189k, roughly $65k over my current GT4, do we all think it’s worth it?

it would be my daily driver, but I only rack up 3k - 4k miles a year.

Is the GT3 engine that valuable for you? Or, could you get a GT3 allocation? … or maybe the 4RS would put you in a position for a free adm GT3 allocation in the future?

If I were you I would not hesitate to do it. I am a drop-yop kinda guy but if I were not I certainly would.
