Why do so many fail to understand that regardless if the OEM raises prices, dealers will still attach their ADM. Its a fact. Just look on the GT3 forum. Same argument over the years didn't stop ADMs.

GM didn’t say NOT charge ADM, they simply said tell customer upfront…lol.

Providing customers misinformation about additional sums being necessary for a customer to keep a reservation, is just one example of a tactic that reflects poorly on all of us.”

Agree it's largely bark not bite. Ford also did something similar a few weeks ago, specifically calling out the F150 Lightning EV.

Yes and most dealers could say MSRP....Manufacturer's "SUGGESTED" Retail Price....and not MManufacturer's Retail Price...will be difficult to fix commerce when it's already out of control..

They mentioned a number of things, from selling to brokers, to adding extra fees to the GM reservation process, to big markups:

Specifically, it has come to our attention that some dealerships have attempted to demand money above and beyond the reservation amounts set in GM’s program rules and/or have requested customers to pay sums far in excess of MSRP in order to purchase or lease a vehicle.

Who knows what 'far in excess' means here. I doubt GM is gonna crack down on dealers for a 10% markup on a Z06, but $50k+ might raise some ire. Ultimately for dealer behavior to change GM would have to issue some clear guidance like, 'Dealers are free to price cars however they wish, but markups in excess of 25% will result in allocations being shifted to other dealerships'.

I'll be watching this one with popcorn. Could be a nothingburger, or could be a great thing for enthusiasts.

That all came out of their legal department. It would have been easy to say no ADM, but no where did it say that.

Unfortunately both GM and Ford are flipping cars through brokers and asking for ADM after the fact…even with “contracts” are in place.

Happening everyday on the Bronco Forum.

Porsche at least tells you upfront and that’s ethical customer communication.

These memos and discussions happen every hot car launch.

I was told under 600 units this year. Does this sound correct? What is everyone estimated build dates?

Sounds about right, given that some on here report that their dealers got a few allocations. So we can assume that they'll build at least 2000-3000 US GT4RSs if they build for 2.5 years...build baby build!

I have a commission number for a GT4 RS but no allocation. Order was submitted to Porsche in November. Do I have any chance for a car?

I had an order confirmed today at a west coast dealer and was told first builds will be in June so would come a few weeks after that into the U.S.

From my understanding you need V200 which is the allocation with determined delivery date.
