10 years as long as you're the original owner and still own it.

Wink I got the allocation.

Today, finally I got the allocation of GT4RS!!!!!!!!!!!. I got a phone call from my dealer this afternoon. When he said my name I knew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I drove my minivan(I was supposed to pick up my daughter's scooter which is located right across from the Porsche dealer) as fast as I could(passed more than two Caymans).
I already speced my car and put in the deposit in March.2020. My dealer got two GT4RS for MY2023 and the first and second slot(me) both took the allocations. I don't know the build schedule yet, but I guess either May or July. Delivery will be in July or September. I am so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great news indeed......sounds kind of the same with my dealer.
Where they able to lock your configuration to that build slot? Commission number?
My dealer can't lock those build slots just yet but they have the names of the customers that will get them.
Looks like May will be first month of US Spec production......

Hard pass.

Absurd.

Yeah, slept on it some, no way a 500HP GT4 makes sense for $300K. At least for me. Golf claps if you take one. Never see you at the track with it I'm sure.

Lucky for me I guess, one of our higher volume Vette dealers has been filling orders at MSRP. Got on the list early last year so looking like a 2023 fulfillment. Be a shame if my C8 Z06 for MSRP call comes in before this level of b.s. in pricing is over.

Note the "Guaranteed No Surcharge over Chevy MSRP"

I expect 918 VIPs pretty much have lifelong dibs regardless of the program. Someone that bought a 918, likely every numbered car thereafter as well as regular GT cars and probably some Turbo S cars along the way is going to have priority over the person that has bought a couple cars over the last decade.

Default GT4 RS Dealer ask over list

My dealer reached out to me to let me know they have received two GT4 RSs. They are asking $150,000 over list! To bad - with that ask its no longer a track car but a collector car. That's not what Porsche designed it for. As a collector car its hard to imagine it will be selling for north of $300,000 in five years. Time will tell.

Same. They’d have bought millions worth of cars just for their own use. And the high rollers buy cars for extended family.

Porsche, you are on notice.

I am a loyal nearly 20 year owner and multiple GT-car owner that is sick of the games.

I too will give my hard earned money to GM for a Z06 if the BS keeps up.

I too have formally declared my intention to buy a Z06 with a dealer.

I think you will find a C8 Z06 is either a multi-year wait or also will have huge dealer or flipper markup. You probably have a better chance of winning the powerball than getting a first year Z06 at MSRP unless you have been on a list for a *long* time. Ask Stasek how many deposits they already have!

Not a Porsche specific problem by any means...

15K C8 Z06's manufactured per year vs a smaller number for a Porsche GT car.. The odds seem to be a bit better for one vs the other.

Check for yourself. I doubt you will find an at-MSRP dealer with less than a projected 3+ year waiting list for the Z06. Most are probably 4+. Yes, GM makes more, they also have far more general demand, largely due to the price point.

But wait lists and ADM aside, I bought a C8 Z51 about a year ago (at MSRP) and was extremely underwhelmed by it. Sold it a few months later. Sure, Z06 will be better than the current C8, but it won't really fix much of what I didn't like about it.
