My dealer got two build slots for 2022 and I got one of them. My dealer said it will become your named allocation in February. He was my dealer for seven years and we do track all the time together. For the ADM, I wouldn't buy if the AMD was 150K. I did pay ADM but it was no way even near close to 150K. My dealer told me that they want the car to stay in the dealer's state and want to sell the car who will keep the car and drive. I drove my GT4 east coast, west coast, key west, and Canada border this year. MY GT4 has 45000miles on it. I am keeping my GT4 after I pick up GT4RS. I believe I fit their bill somehow. I put my deposit for GT4RS in March.2020

So in reality you don't have an allocation. Your dealer has a slot, confirmed or not, and is promising it'll turn into one next month.

Another big issue is being in bed with your dealer and PCNA doing nothing about it.

When one person who has, since September, taken delivery of THREE 992's, two being GT3's, one being PTS (the third is a PTS Turbo S) there's an issue, and it's disheartening to those who want just one car every few years or so.

Hoping to hear from my dealer soon if the above notions are true about slots/allocations going out.

In reality, I guess nobody has an firm firm allocation at this point. We will see soon. At least I was told " Congratulation!!! you got the GT4RS" from my dealer. I didn't argue about ADM. It was bit higher than my expectation but still the price range of "keep the car as a track car not as a collectors car"

45k on a GT4!! Kudos to you! You deserve a 4RS allocation for that reason alone IMO!!

I wonder how many were contacted by their dealer after the reveal last year asking for their code and then with a first post claimed an allocation.

Well I don't know the technicality of build slot and allocation. Because I got the cars without that specific knowledge. Last two times when I got the car, I got the call about the slot or allocation whatever. I went to dealer, spec the car and they called me about 4~6weeks before the delivery. This time, it's exactly the same, the only difference is I paid ADM for the first time. Be patient, I will post update and pick up photos.

C8 non Z06 at MSRP in about a year? Yes.
C8 Z06 new at MSRP = 3+ years.
C8 Z06 new first six months of production from a FU chevy dealer? Easily sticker +$100K.

But I do absolutely agree that eventually C8 corvettes, likely including the Z06, will be well below sticker. while some limited production Porsche GT cars will keep their value much, much longer.

Again, my point isn't at all comparing GM to Porsche or production levels, or merit. Just pointing out yet again that Porsche is far from alone in extracting obscene ADM's
I wouldn't buy a Vette for 50% off MSRP so one less person demanding one. haha

This.....half of the list at my dealer got the call for a configuration, but no commission number.
They still don't know how many they will get except those 3 cars for May-June production and no configuration can be lock to those build slots.
What the GM at my dealer told me is that they wanted to input as many configurations as early as possible into the system to let PAG know the demand for the model....but that's no guarantee they will get them, that's why they stopped at half the list.

This may or may not be relevant to PCNA but I think they are standardizing the system worldwide.
In the past the dealer would get an initial allocation that mostly covered the whole year....now they get build slots for every 6 months.
The difference is that with the allocation the dealer could lock your build to the actual allocation and give you a commission number with estimated dates.
Now with build slots PAG gives the dealer a heads up of what they "might" get but they can't fix a configuration/demand order to that slot until it opens....supposedly by end of month/February the first ones will be released.
Build slots can also change, either take away or add, before they are converted into actual allocations.
For the customer it might be similar but we are not getting 100% assurance of getting that build slot....at least that's how it's being done on Latin America.

It's interesting my dealer is only expecting 918 VIP-claimed cars for MY 22. Maybe that is due to being in a larger metro area.

Fair point; I don’t know for sure these are MY22, but I hope so for those hoping for a spot; otherwise it’s a long wait until the first non-vip cars can even be commissioned.
