I live in Florida but have made great contacts with dealers in the Midwest and like that we can agree on things with a (virtual) handshake and everyone does their part.

He told me their dealership was informed by Porsche that they will not be getting any more GT4RSs period. They received 3 total allocations and they’re all built and delivered, including mine. I asked him if he meant this was for MY23 and they would get more allocations later this year for MY24 and he said no more at all, period. I told him that the prevailing wisdom on RL was that there would be more allocations for MY24, he said it was possible other dealers would get MY24s built within the 2023 calendar year but that they’ve been informed there will be none built in 2024 as either MY24s or MY25s.

I asked him if he’d heard anything about RS Spyder allocations and he said nothing had been mentioned from Porsche. Just passing along information that came from an SA that’s always pulled through for me, been accurate when it comes to stop sales, etc. He mentioned no more GT4s or Spyders before I read it on RL. In any case, wanted to mention what I heard, may or may not be what happens in the future with all dealers, but as far as my dealer currently has been told is they’re not getting another 4RS again. AP could’ve been very accurate when he said the 4RS would be built for “2, 2 and half years”. Part of MY22, all of MY23, part of MY24.
I wish I had a dollar for every time I was told by people on RL that there would be enough 4RS's for everybody and they were going to be the smart ones who waited for them at retail. Supply chain, running out of production time etc. was always going to hurt the totals. Going by feel only there seems to be no way they are going to hit 7000 cars worldwide. I can't wait to see the actual numbers at some point. It feels like half. And the US market? 1500? Any guesses?

Personally, I'd love to see a good number built because I think for us who plan on keeping them long term, it'd be a larger base of enthusiasts that the aftermarket would cater to and greater knowledge base for track, mods and maintenance. He made it very clear that the ship is passing this year and that they were told this by Porsche.

No accurate idea of how many they have/will build (total worldwide) but it’s probably not going to be a large number.. A few months ago I emailed Porsche customer service and asked them if they could say how many 4RSs would be built and I did ask if 7000 was accurate. To their credit, it took them about a month to respond but they did respond saying that Porsche wouldn't publish a production number. I'm not sure where the 7000 number came from, but PCNA customer service says it wasn't them. I'd imagine their policy would be aligned with Porsche HQ policy.

No reason we won't see another 3500 come until mid next year.
GT4 / Spyder ending, Cayman Boxster leaving Zuff, 992 wrapping up soon.

From what I understand its not a matter of increasing 718 production capacity but rather their preference on engine supply for the GT3 Touring I went through my texts this morning from early last year when I was placing my order; my SA mentioned 545 was what Porsche told them would be the total number of 4RSs for the USA. Not sure if that number included Canada. This was so early on the process I didn’t think much about it because there could be lots of changes along the way and I then heard the 7000 number like a lot of other folks and forgot about it. Again, things could have changed, this is just the info that was given to me in April 2022.

My dealer said about 500 of them will be entering north america when I enquired about it last fall. That is an incredibly low number if true.

OK, that jibes with what I was told as well. It’s a low number but makes sense. The GT3/Touring is their focus, the GT4RS gets the GT3/Touring engine, the GT3/Touring doesn’t get the GT4RS engine, so I’m thankful they even made the car to begin with.

I wouldn't trust a word from USA dealers regarding any dubious detail from a car asking an ADM.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they will build 7000 or any number, but they made quite a lot of GT3's, every cycle that has basically increased with the exception of the 997.2.
Estimated over 10,000 992 GT3's. I really can't see them making 2-3000 4RS'. It's an expensive car on an old platform and demand could easily be met for 20,000.
I couldn't see any logical, or ever an illogical reason whatsoever they would produce a tiny number.

My dealer only sells at MSRP so he has no reason to lie to me.

i called my SA about getting me a 4RS slot - he said he'll try his best to get me a MY24...we shall see. they know how many they'll get for MY24 (they've known since november), but they haven't officially attached names to the MY24's because they technically can't be ordered yet.

anyways, he mentioned there might be an available PTS 4RS at port...it's a car with ceramics, buckets, mags, and of course, pts. i think ADM is $70? if anyone wants his contact, lmk. i don't have the full spec, but i've asked him for it. i'm curious to see it lol

I'll rephrase, No dealer knows or has factual information regarding 4RS production numbers.

Knowing this forum, we would have leaked document or something to back any meaningful claim. Its just hearsay.

Brother, this is an Internet forum. The majority of everything on this site is hearsay and that’s why we come here...to hear the rumors.

Maybe you’re taking this Internet forum business too seriously?

We will all find out in due time.

They'll definitely build more GT4RSs, not sure if they'll get to 7,000 worldwide but I would be really surprised if we have less than 1,500 cars in the US.
