Anyway, car looks fantastic - very special. I was interested in the paint as the car there was in Vanadium. I'd wanted this colour to contain a little blue as it appeared in some pics. Looking at it closely it does not seem to have any, but then going back to the stand again and looking from a different angle, a little blue seemed to appear. Odd. I think in daylight it'll appear as more or less a pure grey metallic. I'd say the metallic particles were medium in size. Red seat inserts looked good to me - I was concerned they might be a bit bright, but I found them to be OK. A little brighter than the red seat belts, but not a lot. Red stitching and alcantara on the dash looks really good

There's plenty of blue in Vanadium on those pics. I prefer less, if any at all. Are those Silver or Aluminum finish wheels? Still unsure if the color/brightness between them is the same and if it's only a difference between gloss vs satin finish. The configurator is showing Silver to be MUCH darker than Aluminum.

The closest competitors that come to mind -- though I haven't driven either -- would be the McLaren 570S Spider and the 600LT Spider. Would be great to see a comparo soon.
I found the review to be flowery and uninformative. Doesn’t give me any insight to help me decide whether I’d buy the SRS vs something else.

The McLarens would smoke the SRS in terms of pace and drama - and they’re much higher MSRP. You get the SRS because you want NA and a Porsche and a mass produced car.

I see 570S Spiders go on the used car market for as low as HALF of what an ADM-ed SRS would go for. Carbon tub, aluminum body, hydraulic steering, auto-top, exotic F1 fame -- McLarens have a lot of things going for them. IIRC, you recently got a 570S?

Thanks for the info currently have a Gentian Spyder and an SRS allocation, seems boring to go for Gentian again although I really like the colour, dealer doesn't have a Vanadium sample , must decide soon......

I got a 570 GT earlier this year. It has the sport package, so it’s basically an S with nicer interior. If I ran across a nice 570 spider, I might trade the GT for the spider.

I think they’re the normal silver finish wheels. The satin aluminium finish on previous gt models has definitely been a birighter finish.

I'm pretty sure those are Aluminum.

would be great to see pics of the "dark silver" that is defaulted to on the configurator vs "silver". Aluminum is definitely distinct at the brightest.

can't decide on Vanadium. I wish PTS didn't require Weissach and this would be much easier, but trying to decide between GT Silver, Vanadium and the bolder Shark Blue

Correct me if I am wrong but is the only way to get the leather interior to spec a nonweissach car? I want pts but I don’t want racetex dash in a convertible. Every method I have tried to get a leather dash requires me to select a non weissach car on the us configurator. I am going to have my sa reach out pcna concerning exclusive because I have reservations about the alcantara looking good after having the top down for a couple of years.

There’s enough confusion and uncertainty about how the SRS configurator works, it probably deserves its own thread to capture collected lessons learned.

I tried international configurator and still couldn’t do it.

Funny. I have a gentian blue Spyder with aurum wheels and just got a SRS allocation. Leaning towards the same with Neodyne, however may change if we keep the Spyder. Anyone have a real opinion on the axle lift and if needed on SRS? I don't have on my Spyder and haven't had any reason to need it.

Went from GT4 to 4RS - have had zero issues with the RS with no FAL.

Same height right?

I don’t have any issues on my Spyder, skipping FAL on my RS build.

I believe so - the front lip is a little bigger on the RS but still haven’t had an issue
