So.. I don't know what it means but I wish someone would take out their measuring tape and get to the bottom of whether the gt3 engine turned around in the Boxster/cayman chassis "can fit" with the manual gearbox.

I'm starting to think that we're going to magically find out that "oh, we were wrong.. it does fit after all here is your cayman/spyder R"

Not the right time could mean a lot of things. IMHO... Could simply mean it's never going to happen because timing isn't right. Yes it's possible... but there is no ICE mid engine successor therefore timing is not right nor the financial justification. Even the 911R manual development cost was distributed between future models. The logic on this pipe dream doesn't add up.

My cleaning lady still maintains that the 718 R will be a Cayman/coupe only and Porsche won't make both for that model. Just saying to not get your hopes up.

I interpreted "right time "as no matter who you are, if we're going to build this model in the future, we're not gonna make it available to you first no matter who you are

Whatever it is it will be unavailable to normies, better to focus on the RS and come to terms with PDK life.

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure the accountants have firm enough control at Porsche that nobody's getting a budget to develop a new MT for a low-production, 1-2 MY special edition. If I'm proven wrong, I'm going to have to think fast about whether to stick with a "base" Spyder or scramble to try and find an SRS allocation without selling a kidney...
I don't think you can track a Speedster because of roll over protection. I may be wrong,

I've yet to see one on the track. I plan on tracking my RS, if they come out.

this boxster gets my bet for same engine and pdk as gt4rs. no way are they putting stick in it which might make it more desirable than anything in the 911 model range. the renders here look spot on. maybe it gets a bigger ducktail than the spyder
