There was never a PDK box until they made one.
It’s Porsche, they can literally make and modify. They have the facilities, cash and know how, and importantly a decent marketing department. Just saying it’s not impossible, why not dream together once more brother?

 

The line of folks that say what Porsche will never do seems unending. At least we’re past the never-spyder-rs nonsense.

 

I will 100% buy the manual version if it exists, just not getting my hopes up.

I hypothesize that the revised splitter is to offer a balanced aero package with higher levels of front downforce while not intruding on the increased approach angle of the Spyder over the GT4,

Jeeez that's a big ducktail indeed. Not a fan of the sides in the front splitter (same in the 4RS but don't go with Spyder style imho) or the new intakes (hope that's not final final). So much going on that I have mixed feelings. Doesn't really matter - This will be a beast and I want one!

 

And don't miss the third brake light is not matte black anymore!

 

Looks like they are indeed making a soft top gt4rs. All the same “upgrades” that will fit on a rag top. But, we are still in mule land, so…who knows.

Heck, I might never get to see one in person), much less own one. lol

 

I have a hunch, that the top is going to work like the 987, with a bikini option where you can remove the back. The window shape and the way the top overlaps and doesn't join with the back leads me to think that.

Also the fact that it has the same straps as the 987 top lead me to that conclusion.

Will be amazing if so.

 

Love the massive duck tail and the back look of the roof has promise. The have to clean up the nubbies though, they still look stuck on. This car is going to be bananas and I think I’d actually prefer it PDK.

 

I can't get over the cowbells....mooooo.....mooooo...... but I know this car will sound FANTASTIC especially with the top down and that motor screaming right behind your ear!

 

This car will certainly be special. Wish it came with a 6 speed option as well, probably will not though. In terms of looks, I am ok with the cowbells actually. The front end looks way too busy with the NACA ducts, fender vents, and winglet on the front bumper; looks hideous in my personal opinion. Plain Spyder looks cleaner on the nose and fits the character more. If there was a manual and if I could get one at MSRP, I would still get it despite the ugly front simply because of that wonderful GT3 engine but get it in a dark color to hide all the hideous details.

 

I would like the hood if the NACA ducts were like the ones on F40 etc. Without the square plastic piece surrounding them but actually carved in the hood with no rectangle. Everything else is too much imho (fenders cutout, ventilation, extra black pieces in side front lip, etc)
