What did you buy your 718 today?

I do get some reflections from the center console and the Sport Chrono in the Windschott deflector, since it is canted slightly forward. But that's easy to ignore since my focus is further out when I'm looking in the rear view mirror.

Where I live, there are chilly days where I still want to drive with the top down. I find the wind deflector seriously cuts down on the breeze blowing up the back of my head and neck. But perhaps I should try removing it for hot days.

You were correct on the part numbers too. These are much thicker and more substantial than the Amazon webbing and shouldn't lasagna noodle on me. Worth half a K? Well, still cheaper than ordering special wishes I guess.

Just curious for those that got the 4wheelspacers, did your lug bolts come with 3/4 or 19mm bolt heads? I believe OEMs are 19mm but 4wheelspacers are 3/4. Not a big deal but would like to have the same size front and back.
Awesome setup though. I will post pics later.
Thanks!

You made me look and took out my digital caliper to make measurements. Mine are in spec for a 19mm bolt head with 7mm extended bolt (I ordered 8mm spacers) so I say they are OK

Finally installed a 60Ah Antigravity Lithium Battery. Got a check engine light at first, but removed negative terminal cable for 10 mins, re-connected cable, drove it about 10 miles, and upon the first key cycle (start, drive, stop, lock, unlock, re-start), the warning light disappeared. Easy way to drop 40lbs+ on your car. People pay way more $$$ to drop less weight, so in an odd way, it is a fairly cost-effective performance enhancer.

I received my shark blue pull tabs today and now I understand why they are $555 for the pair: The come with the whole latch mechanism. I guess I have a couple spares in case they ever fail out of warranty.

taking things apart.
I ordered mine as well. Hopefully they arrive just as quickly as yours. Apparently they were down to one passenger side assembly remaining in Germany at my time of order… so they don’t have much stock, either.
Now I need to order the Exclusiv Option bits to take the door apart just once and slap this stuff in to finish off the interior.
Post pics once yours are in!

I’m actually referring to the socket size that fits the lug bolts. Lug bolts that came with the car seem to be 17mm (not the 19mm I mentioned in my previous post) and the ones that came with 4wheelspacers are 3/4”. I just wanted make sure this was right. I can see a mechanic mistakenly using a 17mm socket on a 3/4” bolt. Ultimately I would like all the bolts to be the same socket size.
Again, sorry for the confusion.

Thanks for the response. I apologize, I realize now why I shouldn’t post things early in the morning when I’m rushing out the door. Lol

Either way, thanks for clarifying this for me.
On a more exciting note, below are some before and after pics. I tried to show the "flushness" of the wheels in comparison to the fender.
Stock setup. Front passenger wheel/fender. The jack is just sitting under the car and is not actually lifting the car.
8mm 4wheelspacers installed. You can now see a little tire poke.
Stock rear passenger wheel/fender. You can see a little tire poke as well.
Thanks!

I bought a full wheel / tire set in platinum satin for the spyder from Porsche. Porsche sells the rim, tire, TPMS all balanced and mounted as a kit which is *way* cheaper than buying the items individually and cheaper by thousands than just buying the rims! Parts guy figured they’d come with PS4S tires (not cup2’s which is fine). I should be able to mount them before winter for a week or two. I’ll use the black wheels (eventually) for the winter set.
