Thanks for the heads up but ya, I read through that thread. I have the same material as I believe mademike maddmike and he was having durability issues it seems. Probably the same material as the Etsy link too but they don't have blue straps anyway.
I don't know if durability is the right word. They have started to lasagna noodle a bit. I don't know if the OEM does this or not but the material is a bit thinner than the OEM. More bothersome to me is the texture and color is different from the seat belts. Not a deal breaker for the cost (free) but enough to bother me that for my car's one-year anniversary I bit the bullet to get some OEM ones ($550) which are ridiculously priced for $.40 of material but it is what it is.
I have been running the Porsche rubber mats since new. However, I prefer a more organic feel under foot.
I previously have liked Coco Mats in other cars as they are nice and thick, absorb any moisture that may get on them, and actually help with sound deadening (not that it will help in a Spyder). I went with the black with blue specs. Hopefully it will work with my black/blue interior and add a splash of color.
