Well, technically didn't buy it as child labor is free and I put my two-year-old daughter to work. The pull tabs were gifted to me by a forum member months ago. I finally got around to installing one side at least.

If not for these damn plastiwelds I could have gotten rid of the pull straps that I dislike and installed a nice, shiny, proper door handle.

Amazon just makes it too easy to buy things...

I already have a 8 HP MetroVac Master Blaster but this one is a bit more portable and has variable speed air, great for more delicate jobs!

This is the look my wife gave me:

So getting rid of the pull straps isn't doable? It's something I would ultimately like to do in my GT4, I would prefer a real pull handle to the pull straps. Not something I'm going to do to my brand new car, but someday down the road.

And this is my Master Blaster: Amazon.com: Metro Vac MB-3CD Air Force Master Blaster 8-HP Car & Motorcycle Dryer - Auto Detailing : Automotive

I have been using the Master Blaster for many years (US made), it is industrial in quality, not a lot of frills but has dried probably over 1000 cars without missing a beat. The SGCB was made offshore and seems solid, but it is new to me, and I am looking forward to putting it through its paces!

You could change out the whole door card and transfer your trim etc. Its plasti-welded so, you could always use a soldering iron to melt the welds. So, doable if you are courageous enough.

The short answer is no. Not easily. But I guess everything is do-able. I found those plastic welds to be the obstacle I was not willing to try and deal with. If you aren't successful, you will soon be buying yourself entire new door panels to the tune of thousands of dollars. I bought new handles to replace my pull straps and turned right around as soon as I got the door panel off and saw those plastic welds.

My attempt was on my 981 Spyder. Crazy enough, the door panels are the same part number as the 911 of 2016. So I guess if you were really serious you could just buy a pair of slightly used 911 or 981 panels.

Yeah, wish we had the 'traditional' door handles too. It's kind of funny because even the GT3, which is a faster car, comes with door handles and not door pulls. Porsche tried to make the GT4/Spyders look cool with door pulls

From late Santa, jet coated resonated OAP directly from Soul. John Gaydos always great to work with. More later once I manage to get this in.

A whole used door panel will be cheap when I get around to this project!

It gets infinitely more difficult when you are talking about leather door panels with deviated stitching.
