The dealership had me reach out to my car insurance. They are going to check on the damage and I guess between my insurance and the dealership they will figure things out. Getting an allocation is so hard now, I don’t even know if I’ll be able to get one.

jeez. I feel for you. Is this an opportunity to get a build with a slightly different spec for you?
RIP
This morning I received a call from my dealership (Englewood Porsche NJ) that all the vehicles in the lot and shop received severe flood damage. Unfortunately my two month old GT4 was in their shop. Back to the drawing board for me….
Absolutely heartbreaking! She was a beauty!!! I'm so sorry.

Allocations are even harder now than before and probably a year out. That is a LOOONG time to wait after you just got your car a couple mths ago. I would need a therapist.

OMG. So sorry to hear that - so awful. At least you are okay - that was a bad storm. Good luck.

Holy sh*t!!!! That is terrible. What was the car in for service for? So sorry. That sucks big time!!!

Sorry to hear. I may be passing on mine...supposedly 2nd or 3rd at my local at this point, deposit placed April 2019. I may get called this year per SA last weekend. Keep me in mind if you can't get another allocation.
You had one hell of a flood it seems. Out of curiosity I looked to see if that dealer was in a flood zone and found this map. I've marked the dealer location in green. Even with this map set to its maximum water level rise of 10 feet it didn't quite reach it, so it must have been worse than that!
We should know about future allocations mid this month, per my guy. Although with the chip shortage, that muddies the water on what it means if there are none.

That is heartbreaking. I'm so sorry to hear this. You mentioned your car had 600 miles. May I ask why your car was in the shop? Was it being serviced?
Hopefully, you get an opportunity to reorder a car and in doing so, if you had any options that you were wavering on, maybe now is the chance to get them or vice versa, if you spec'd an option and didn't like it, now is your chance to spec your new car without it.
Well, guess what I’ve been hearing over the last day or so is true. My arrival date went from 11-26-21 to 12-24-21 for my 2022 718 Spyder. I’m good with that being the fact I just ordered it last weekend 👍. Figured I would pass the news along.
Some good news. My BGTS4.0 was assigned a VIN # today, so into the body shop for production she goes!
I may have some even better news for you. The VIN isn't normally reported until the car is nearing completion of production as per my SA, my observations, and reports I've seen on the forums.
Back at the dealer with Calipers painted to match the seatbelts. Since Sydney is in Lockdown the dealer has very few staff on hand to actually do deliveries. We are trying to organize collection this afternoon but if that doesn't come together I am going to have to wait until next week since theyre closed on weekends at the moment!
