Per PECLA, FY22 cars are certified by EPA and sale; however, waiting to hear more from Porsche about semi-conductor shortage impact to new vehicles…. I’m assuming that means my car sitting at port may be missing things 🤷‍♂️.

talked to the guy at length now. His car is a 25th Anniversary Boxster. Yeah I know the math adds up to a 2021 model. But he says he was told the same 10/1 delivery date. He also said it is considered a 2022 car in all of his paperwork and it has a 2022 VIN. He will take delivery of the car this Wednesday. It is already at the dealer. This will be the first 2022 car that I know of that will be delivered in the USA. He said he was surprised at the 4 week early delivery.
This is in Houston and the dealership is about 30 miles from the Port of Houston…if that. So it might be sooner rather than later for the Port of Houston cars and the Texas recipients….unless they get hung up by parts availability. But the delivery of the car mentioned above is encouraging.

congrats! I’ve been following your timelines as my shark blue gts was just a few days behind you and also heading to San Diego. But i got a dumb vessel that’s stopping everywhere around the damn world before heading to San Diego. Arghh! Oh well…it’ll show up eventually.

I saw my BGTS on a video from the dealer, Carrera rims dark gray clashes with the shark blue a little but other than that it looks great

Picking it up on Thursday or Friday this week

I wonder if they will drop a 'this no worky no chip' bomb on me when I pick it up

 

I am looking forward to photos!

Hopefully I’ll hear that mine is out of production today.

 

I think the bright interior is 10/10 for this exterior paint.
