I'm hoping for an early August delivery, but TYD is saying delivery will be between July 24 to Nov 6 lol
Oh wow thats a far one. the PECLA delivery experience is 100% worth it imo. Even with the price increase. If you can i recommend asking for Hunter and Charles as your host duo. Charles is a super awesome host and really great guy who you can tell loves what he does and Hunter was an amazing driving instructor. When you do the free lunch there i recommend the hanger steak. So good.
As far as delivery goes, what was your original ETA? Everyone all of a sudden saw these date ranges (which i personally dont like) and it artificially added time to your tracking. I think i was at 44 days left and then all of a sudden it jumped to 89 days left because my delivery all of a sudden said between June 29th and September 4th. Original ETA was July 23rd.
I wonder if ours will be on the same ship since we are on different sides of the country.
its a bit doubtful since mine has to go through the Panama Canal and making a stop on the east coast doesnt make much sense. But who knows. I'm hoping mine is already on a ship as a bunch of west coasters stated that they are on a ship already so it would be weird if mine wasnt on it either, unless something is delaying my car. Like some port installed options or something

I wonder how different PEC LA is from PEC ATL, did a 90 min experience in ATL in May and it was super fun.
If it's in the morning, a steak for lunch would be fun, but if afternoon, a steak before that many Gs might be unwise?
Original ETA was 7/16, then 7/22, then 7/17, then 8/19, 8/7, and got to 8/10 before the update that gave us all ranges instead of an rough expected date.
Pretty wild drift in dates, crazy how much it updated around.
The app looks like this for me, but TYD website hasn't updated yet.

Yeah thats how mine looks as well except it's just been sitting at the port for almost a month. Or so it claims. Maybe it got on a ship in the first week and i'll get a call from my SA 4th of July weekend that my car has arrived. *fingers crossed*

Have you been following the west coast regional forums shipping thread? Seems like it's totally random of how long cars are sitting at Emden
I just got an update to my email and it looks like my car has also left the port. Do you happen to know what boat yours is on? I'm checking vessel finder.com and none of the ships that have left today are headed for the US on the west coast, which tells me either i dont know how to use the finder very well (very possible), or my car has actually been on a ship for a while but TYD just hasnt updated yet.
Also a side note, my Porsche app has updated, but the browser has not.

That's interesting, when mine shipped and when it was at the dealer the website updated before the app.
I, too, received notification that my BGTS is on a ship and sailing - I was able to figure out it is on the Daisy Leader headed to San Diego, and then up to LA area for delivery. I have a 7/15/24 to 8/40/24 delivery window! My car arrived at the port on May 26 (so it sat there for a bit less than a month). I can NOT wait for this car to arrive. Have been "making due" with a 981 Boxter S manual.
For what it's worth, I recently sold my 992 Targa GTS because I was having more fun in my 981 Boxter, so I'll sell the 981 when the 718 gets here.
Best of luck to all of you whose cars were loaded on a ship, and to those waiting at the port, soon the final journey will start.
