Sorry I posted in a seperate thread, so for the sake of of keeping this thread complete...
I noticed all the 718 have the tape patch below the rear light. Why?

For what it's worth, our 718 CT did not appear to have tape there. Great looking car, by the way.

God bless you,
TT

What production start date was TYD showing for you? Mine still shows May 15th even though we're passed that :/

Any idea how long it really takes for a 718 to go from the factory to "the German port"? TYD for our new 718 says 6 days, which seems quite a long time. I don't recall how long it took for our 911 back in 2018 or our 718 GT4 in 2020.

God bless you,
TT

I had a VIN post to TYD the day it hit step 3 "The manufacturing process of your Porsche is starting soon"

It's supposed to go into production (step 4) this weekend.

TYD question...
I've seen multiple people having shipping delays. How soon was that reflected in your TYD? So far mine has only had 1 day delay. I'm assuming it gets further delayed once at Emden?
My scheduled dealer delivery is July 21st, but judging by others here, this isn't realistically going to stick.

Last week after I had received the 4 pictures including the assembly picture, 2 days later TYD increased a month 5/15 to 6/16 still with no change from step 4.

Is there room for one more? I received a surprise call from my SA yesterday with an allocation. I was #3 on the list for a CGTS and didn't expect anything until next year. 1 and 2 apparently passed but took all of the time. I had to make a decision to trade in the CGTS that I just bought in February (someone else's spec) and buy a car that I can spec. The order had to lock now and build starts 5/22 for Sept delivery. A waste of money I know to essentially buy the same car that I have but I wanted my spec which included LWB. After a stressful couple of hours, my order is locked. Arctic Grey out, GT Silver with LWB in.

It took mine about 2 days to make it to the port after manufacturing was marked complete.

Thanks so much for that info! It may not make much difference as it appears the next boat for my car's US port--Houston--doesn't leave Emden until May 25 or 26.

God bless you,
TT

Congrats! Weird that your build date is exactly the same as mine 5/22, but my delivery date is July 22nd and yours September? We are both located in the PNW. Wonder why the difference?
🤷🏻‍♂️

For what it's worth, my wife's and my 718 finished production on 5/16 and its delivery date to Evansville, IN via the port of Houston is July 22nd, so your delivery date to the PNW of July 22 may be a bit optimistic?

God bless you,
TT
