My Cayman GTS 4.0 was scheduled for completion last Friday, June 18, and is scheduled to arrive at the Port of Houston on July 30. That time frame assumes a two-week period at the Port of Emden, so I'm hoping for a shorter period.
Here's my build:
Carmine Red exterior
Black/Luxor Beige leather interior
20" Carrera sport wheels painted in Satin Black
PDK transmission
Power sport seats (14 way) with memory package
PASM
Power steering plus
Smoking package

Does anyone have a model year 2022 allocation that has been built and is in transit?
My GT4 allocation is for a 2022 and the last update I got from my SA was entry into body shop on 7/30.

My car arrived early! Total surprise.
Car got to Baltimore on the 1st, PDI'd on the 2nd, marked "cleared for transport" on the 3rd. Dealer GM told me, "When it actually gets loaded on a a truck, I get an email. From there it's usually 3-4 days. I'll email you the instant I know it's been put on a truck." So I expected a 3-4 day warning and was HOPING the car would arrive in time for NEXT weekend (Porsche timing sheet said "arrive at dealer" on 7/9).
Got a text at 2:00 in the afternoon on Monday, "YOUR CAR IS HERE!" I honestly thought he was messing with me. Seemed they did NOT email anyone when it got on the truck, and nobody expected the truckers to work over the holiday... but they did.
As is typical in a dealer environment, sales and service butt heads... so they couldn't guarantee me that my car would be PDI'd and delivered Monday. Manager took me to the back lot to see my car (still wrapped). I told him, "Ok I'll come back to look later - let's go bug the service team" and he said, "Well, you've got the key - just drive it into the service drive like a customer." So that's what I did.... grabbed my usual service advisor... "PDI this ASAP please!" She rolled her eyes a bit... but got me in that afternoon. Drove it home that night!
As of this morning I've got a little over 400 miles on it.... AP break-in procedure halfway done!
And I am more in love with this car than I expected to be!
