Still baffles me how someone would want to spend 100k on a butt-a*s ugly "truck" that can't tow. I get most people never tow with their trucks anyway but that is literally my only reason for ever owning a truck. Maybe its the novelty of being the first one to have one and the craze dies down in a few months when you can pick them up in a yard sale along with a collection of Stanley cups.

Full disclosure. My wife and I each have a Tesla. Having said that, I tended to agree that the Cybertruck at the very least an acquired taste and yes, possibly ugly. But in person it looks a lot better. I'd never seen one in real life but it frankly looks a lot better than pictures. Surprisingly big too. But, my F350 tows my RV soooo until a Tesla truck can do that, I probably won't be getting one. Don't mean to hijack the Shark Blue thread.

I have no issue with electric vehicles but I dont think anyone finds the Cybertruck classicly beautiful or that it will age well. Years from now I think we will look back and laugh at it. Remember when there was a waiting list and paying over MSRP for PT Cruisers? I'm sure the people who did want to forget.

Once we install capacitive charging in the roads giving electric vehicles unlimited range and the ability to tow more than 100 miles, I think electric vehicles will take off.

Back to SB. Can someone please wrap a Cybertruck in SB? Thank you

I placed my cyber truck order within minutes of the website going live - years ago - and hope to get my allocation later this year! And once I drive it from the Tesla store I will take it to a body shop and have it painted—wait for it— “Shark blue”!

on another note/ the noise is that shark blue will be removed as an optional standard color for the 2025 911’s and 718’s — which is good news -will make my two shark blue porsche sports car worth at least $100 more.

the cyber truck is simply an appliance designed to do a job and is designed around function rather than aesthetics and that makes it beautiful! You don’t see unnecessary curves and fins and fancy paint or chrome on rockets being shot into space do you? Or even on a chainsaw or a hammer. Notice the design of the new iPhone?

Thank you for taking one for the team and cudos for making it shark blue.

However, what, pray tell, is the job the Cybertruck is designed for? To me it is more about the look and style than about functionality. You can't do many truck things with it so it is essentially a lifted car that makes a stying statement.

Why do you think the cyber truck can’t do truck stuff? The tailgate is controlled from the cab, it has hold down system in the bed. You can lower the rear of the bed from the cab so you can drive a motorcycle of other equipment into the bed. It can pull a lot of weight and do anything my Silverado HD2500 can do.

the skin is all stainless steel - four wheel drive, doesn’t dent like my Silverado - the bed has an electric cover you can retract at the push of a button or close. I would like one with a larger length bed but most guys buy the 6’ bed - and with the tailgate down it will haul a sheet of plywood.

and for $100,000 you get a vehicle that carries four and is as fast as a turbo S 911…..

and my grand daughter has never been excited about my six Porsche sports cars but asks me everytime I talk to her “when does the cyber truck show up?” - “ you can play games on it and it farts when you use the turn signals and has wood fireplace inside too!” —

just needs to be painted shark blue!

When I started this thread so long ago, I was just "on the waiting list" - I didn't have an allocation.
Then with all the production delays and COVID delays, I started to wonder if it would happen.
Well I got the allocation in early 2023 (the dealer's only one in 2023!) and it was delivered in July. It even worked
out that the LWBs were available to order before my order locked. The stars did align.
Yea, it's a late picture, but I took it yesterday if that helps.

Took (re-)delivery of my car today after my November Euro Delivery. Time to start adding miles :-) My friends can't get enough of shark blue!

Also, I don't remember who posted them earlier in this thread, but I found a pair of the matching Pumas and debuted them for the delivery today.

I have one, too, but wasn't bold enough to do the SB interior bits, which look great in your car. Enjoy!
