Heard from a trusted source in the know (No, no one at a dealer level) that Shark will be discontinued at the end of MY2024...guessing the new Lugano Blue that's first appearing on the new Panamera is going to trickle down to the rest of the lineup. Also, seeing rumblings of Racing Yellow and Ruby Star Neo being discontinued as well.
I hope that's not the case, Shark Blue is such a beautiful cover. That being said, it does seem Porsche has dropped a lot of the options that used to be on the 718 platform recently such as natural leather interior options, Aventurine Green, etc.
Look at the configurator for the new Panamera and two new blue exterior are offered and one new blue motif interior.
Lugano blue and montego blue metallic with a new interior color night blue and a lighter beige similar to chalk. Hard to tell from the configurator but looks more blue than the old graphite blue interior color.

This makes sense, since apparently SB (and RY) is NLA on the 911s post March production.
I have a 2023 Panamera 4 Executive hybrid - in PTS Sapphire Blue Metallic with a chalk interior and speed blue stitching. A stunning car that gets a lot of attention and is a wonderful car for long highway trips. Back seats have a lot of legroom and all the seats have hot and cool ventilation and all the seats have massage. It can get up and go when you want to move. Has rear wheel steering as well. Heads up display works great also.
makes you wonder why the 911 does not have a heads up display like the Corvette.
I was worried I had made a mistake by not waiting for the refreshed next generation Panamera. But it looks like all Porsche did was reduce their costs. No silver vent on the sides any longer. No regular shifter on the center console that can also allow for manually shifting. Now they have a silly flip switch on the dash. The silver lettering -PORSCHE -across the rear light bar is gone - saves a few bucks for Porsche. There are changes to the front hood but not for the better.
also the executive lengthens the car and gives the car a more elegant overall appearance. The standard car looks too truncated. Not a 911 - but I have three 911’s when I want a pure sports car.
I love the shark blue color. I would have probably never spec’d the color if I had not seen it in person though. It’s a good mid point on the light/dark scale.
I completed my European delivery last week. This color is striking, particularly in fall and winter settings. It's so nice, I carried it into the interior!

I was a first adopter(for the US market) and had to endure all of the “cornflower” remarks. It was nerve wracking but so glad I stuck with it.
Same here. I ordered the car sight-unseen. The only time I saw this color was NOT a good day. I was driving past a VW dealership and saw the color out of the corner of my eye on one of their crappy little SUV's. I pulled into the lot, looked at the car and thought: "What have I done?!" It was ugly on that car. I was locked already so I didn't tell my wife of this experience until after the Cayman arrived. Obviously, when it arrived... well, we all know how incredible the color is on this car. One of the best colors to have. Extremely bright, yet not crazy like my Python 911 is. And it's excellent with the black rims and trim.

Amazing photos! How many miles did you drive? How was it with the LWBS?
I was also on the fence when it came to SharkBlue but once I saw an example in person I was totally convinced this was the best option for me. I never second guess that decision... It just looks so good.

Thank you! I returned it with 2396km on the clock after 10 days, slightly under 1500 miles.
The bucket seats are comfortable once you’re in them! I’ll probably carry a little lumbar pillow in the car for longer drives once it comes home, but overall I find them comfortable. And they look like a million bucks :-)
