Stop Sale on 718 GTS, Spyder & GT4

Please feel sorry for those of us who have already paid for the car but have not yet taken possession. I am the owner, have paid tags, taxes & monthly payment and have no car. If Porsche gives monthly compensation, I doubt it will cover my financing cost. Meanwhile folks who haven't taken delivery will probably receive the same amount as I will.

Just to make you guys feel better, I've been trying to order a new Spyder for 5 months now, and with allocation spots slowing to a crawl or downright standstill, now I find myself in a new MY car with an increased cost... Loads of fun.....

This could be an issue, but my feeling is that "if you're going to hold me to a purchase, you owe it to me to tell me exactly what I'm buying".

My comment was out of interest in how the communications will be handled. I.e., you are an "owner" at this point and I am not, are the requirements for communications different? Is more transparency required when dealing with owners versus in-process purchasers, and what might the implications be?

My dealership handles all new car sales transactions that way: signing papers, arranging payment, applications for licenses tag, etc prior to doing the PDI. My SA said they had trouble with people not paying for their cars or something before they adopted that policy. (Maybe they got a lot of cars dumped on them by people refusing to take their cars after a previous stop sale.)
There is no difference in communication of information (or lack thereof!) since I am an owner as opposed to a potential buyer.

I called Porsche Canada yesterday.
I think the lady who waters the plants picked up the phone as she only managed to annoy me more with her lack of client service skills !
She was deflecting everything to my local dealer (who has been very transparent once official information came out, but still waiting on remediation plans from Porsche) and then managed to lose me when I asked to be transferred.
I sold my 997TT two weeks ago (my GT4 arrived at the dealer March 12th) and now have no "summer" car.
In Montreal, 6 weeks represent 25% of the drivable window in a year.
I'm sure all will be forgotten once I sit in it ! I hope...

I feel for everyone in this thread waiting on a car. Just know that it will be worth the wait! If my engine munched itself tomorrow, I would wait a long time for a new engine before trying to get out of owning the car.

Supposed to get the new one next week to start the new driving season. Now it looks like another 2 months’ wait, if not longer.
I don’t like using this phrase, but it is what it is.
I am just going to go with the flow since I have no control whatsoever.

I sold my Targa GTS about 2 weeks ago and now my Spyder ETA got moved to July 23rd...glad I got a lot of money for it; however, it would have been nice to have an open-top car for the nice weather.
