Eric advised me from the get go that I would most likely end up with a Kline variant, but I insisted on doing the AKRA OAP’s first… 3 months later, and the Inconel system was on my car
. Going OAP first was what I wanted, and I hooked up another member who is now going the same route - did I take a small hit to my pockets… sure, but it was worth going through the steps.
Almost every notable back box offering as a standalone comes in at a higher price tag than the combination of the OAP + Rear from the Kline in SS. Personally I haven’t heard the Kline system in SS in person, so I cant say Inconel is the “best” option, but I chose to listen to Eric for once, and I would have always said to myself - woulda, coulda, shoulda went with the Inconel if I went SS.

I found one I absolutely love . . . yes, slightly off-topic, but this topic could use a brief interjection . . . and who does not love the acoustics of this beast of a machine . . .

That video makes me wonder how much mischief I would have gotten into if my younger self had a Porsche for my first car. Nevermind I was already pretty bad.🤐

The difference is occur in the upper mid range, and the high-end range under aggressive throttle and it would be very hard to do a side-by-side video. Just revving it and not moving isn’t gonna do anything in the videos. The sound variance occurs under load at the mid upper to high RPMs.

Here’s some exterior Kline action (stainless steel)….. not a GT3RS but then again I saved $300k going this route haha. I listened to all the videos I could find and could not spot a difference between the two metals which makes sense given what Eric said above. No regrets on my part for not spending more (for a change, need a few wins along the way).

"Revving" videos are kind of useless if you're trying to get an idea of everyday driving sounds of any exhaust.
What I was hoping for would be a driving comparrison video... Drive a same street route or track with both exhaust options - film from within the car with good quality sound... then splice the vids together to make a comparison. No headers - just exhaust with normal valve operation... so that it's easier to just be hearing the exhaust. Vids with headers done too don't help much...
At this price point it would be very nice to be able to compare the two a bit better...

I couldnt agree more. Would be a big help for everyone if there was some good videos comaring w drivebys and w the same mic set up so even if its not EXACT to real life its comparable since its all same parameters used to record.

I've actually done this sans splicing and good quality sound and posted it in the Kline thread comparing the Kline SS and stock.

Yeah these vids are just not doing it justice. To be honest, I can't tell much (if any) difference between the stock vid and the Kline exhaust vid LOL! Too much wind noise and distortion. I'm sure there's a big difference but it's just not really coming through for me.
I appreciate it though!
