Can you point Davisville out on google earth? I should be able to see my car there.

I am looking forward to tomorrow, 12/4, with regard to the "embargo".

I know the cars can “handle” it, but it’s really the principle of it. I honestly wouldn’t blame someone for considering pulling the plug. There has been literally no communication from PCNA as to why they’re being held up this long.

I know the first batch of MY20 cars were held captive for a month or so, but I’ve never seen it get to the point of 3+ months of waiting on CARB approval.

On a positive note. It looks like there is word on a couple maintenance packages for everyone’s inconvenience. PSMP +1 for cars sitting in port up to 60 days and PSMP +2 for cars sitting longer than 60 days.

GL
Can you please briefly elaborate on this? What is a PSMP +1, +2? My CGTS 4.0 arrived at Davisville Oct 15. Is the "word" on this documented in such a way to convince my dealer?
Thanks

For cars that are sitting at port, when the time comes to be loaded on a transport, Is there any priority given to cars that are special ordered for customers instead of ones going dealership lots for sale? Would customer orders go out first? Considering that 992’s have been sitting at port since September, I’d think they’d want to get those out ASAP and leave lot cars for last on any transport. Are the logistics that smart?

My SA mentioned this to me as well. Porsche is currently talking about providing customers with 992 sitting at port for a while now free Porsche Service Maintenance Plans (PSMP) as a gesture of goodwill for the amount of time people have been waiting. The +1 and +2 reference the number of years covered. Year 1 is free so if you get PSMP +1, that means year 1 and 2 are covered in the plan. No mention if 718 are going to be part of this.

Apparently my car has been sitting in Davisville since October. If it has been sitting outside in the elements for 2 months with seagulls ****ting all over it i would have to consider telling PCNA to keep it. I was so looking forward to my spyder. This is a real bummer.

I’m starting to feel better about my car getting stuck in limbo at the factory... 🙄

This is insane. What would we do without bureaucracy protecting us from ourselves like this?

Google earth Davisville port in RI. There are literally thousands of cars sitting on the oceans edge. Insane.
Your talking to to a guy who lives on an island north west of Seattle... the only way by car to the mainland is the ferry.

Hah! Same here. 13 miles into the Atlantic Ocean. Small world.

But it is my summer house. Lovely place, but when old man winter rolls in... oh man!

I have a buddy with a place on Lopez Island, which is likely near you. It is an amazing place, not unlike my RI spot. Enjoy!

Cheers, and yes the west coast and east coast at these latitudes are two completely different worlds, Lopez is about 20 miles due east from me...
