In the Northeast, PCNA’s Port of Entry is Davisville RI, where they sit outside about 500 yards from the ocean.

Really? You have waited this long and the finish line is in sight just to throw in the towel...

Keep in mind that the Federal EPA certification process was substantially delayed as well. Could be there is an actual issue with the emissions on our cars, or just some bureaucratic nightmare that was made worse by Covid. My car arrives at Benicia on Saturday, and I am am coming to the realization that it likely won’t be in my driveway next week. Hoping for the best though.
Best of luck to you and I. My GT4 has been at Benicia since 10/25.

I do have a commission number now. Am I able to track progress with that number?

Your SA is your lifeline. Ask him for the Porsche Management System screenshot. It’s pretty standard, suspect most on here get them.

Ask for periodic updates, I stopped bugging my SA as he tracks all his customers daily. Big dates are build completion and Emden departure. SA will give you the ship name and show you how to track.

Here are some screen shots from my progress

I own a house in RI on the ocean not far from the port where my car has been for a month. You should see what happens to cars left outside on the northeast seaboard when the winter rolls in. Ugly.

Google earth Davisville port in RI. There are literally thousands of cars sitting on the oceans edge. Insane.

Unsure which port you’re at, but Houston cars are inside a warehouse. Regardless, you’re probably overthinking “port damage”...it’s not like it’s the ready 7 Hornet on CVN75 sailing in the north Atlantic; lol. I mean people live in these port cities right .. some with Porsche cars.
Yes. I own a house on the ocean not far from the port. I know exactly what happens to these cars.

That really sucks. I can't imagine having a car, fully assembled, delivered, and sitting at the port for an extended period of time. I'd go crazy!

My car is on the vehicle carrier Green Bay that just docked in RI for about 24 hours and is now already en route to Jacksonville. Here's hoping yours gets released from "Port Purgatory" in the immediate future!

You, my friend, live in a far more sensible state that didn’t sign up to follow CA’s CARB standards. Wise move, on more than one front. Enjoy your new ride!

Perhaps rivers edge miles from the ocean...Don’t know many commercial ports on the oceans edge.

Lived next to Diamond Head 2 blocks from the ocean for three years, my MB came back fine.

Hey, we all have our tolerances and you met yours. Lots if folks looking for AG cars, help a neighbor out and forward your SA.

A lot of guys with an incoming MY21 992 car have been at the port since early September. Someone on the 992 even received an update pushing delivery from 12/4 to 12/18. I personally wouldn’t be comfortable taking delivery after months sitting outside, especially on the east coast.

I know the cars can “handle” it, but it’s really the principle of it. I honestly wouldn’t blame someone for considering pulling the plug. There has been literally no communication from PCNA as to why they’re being held up this long.

I know the first batch of MY20 cars were held captive for a month or so, but I’ve never seen it get to the point of 3+ months of waiting on CARB approval.

On a positive note. It looks like there is word on a couple maintenance packages for everyone’s inconvenience. PSMP +1 for cars sitting in port up to 60 days and PSMP +2 for cars sitting longer than 60 days.

GL
