GT4 arrived Port of Baltimore. Porsche system was not updated as of this afternoon, but ship tracking shows it’s at port.
GT4 has a “quality action” shown. Dealer doesn’t have details but it’s likely the TPMS due to microchip shortage.
They are investigating and will update when they get info. Hoping it leaves port ASAP and waits at dealer if necessary for TPMS.
Got my arrow blue Spyder over the weekend! What a great little car, lots of low end torque and such a slick gearbox! Also surprised how comfortable it is, I thought it might be stiff like a GT3 but it’s really not at all!
Congrats, I have the GT4 version and am loving the color. It also looks good on a convertible.
My GT4 has been released to a carrier at the Port of Baltimore. I should be notified that it’s on a truck soon (hoping today/tomorrow). It was processed into the port on 5/17. The last update showed a quality hold until 6/4, so it’s well ahead of schedule!
FWIW - I was concerned that the TPMS sensor “fix” could involve breaking the factory bead of each tire to insert a sensor. While the bead gets broken at some point once tires are changed, there’s nothing as good as the factory balance and seal.
My GM told me that they don’t touch the wheels. The sensor is located on the underside of the car. They lift the car, attach the sensor, and then drive it so the car “learns” the setting. I don’t know if they actually lift the car or if they drive over a “pit” with a tech below. And I don’t know if the car is driven, or put on a machine (roller) to simulate miles so the TPMS sensor can “learn” the settings. Once everything checks out they will load on a truck.
I was relieved that they are not changing the bead-seal or balance of the wheels. It could arrive at the dealer any day as we are only about 4 hours from Baltimore (probably 5 if driving a big rig).

@halfmonkey great work on the spreadsheet and check in thread. I stumbled across this thread doing research for my spreadsheet on 991.2 GT3’s from my check in thread (link in my signature, you may want to do the same- hint, hint). Nice to see growing popularity of Pastel Orange, such a great color! Congratulations on all the new Spyder and GT4 PTS owners. Some are serial PTS owners on my spreadsheet! Keep up the good work!

Couple of gratuitous euro delivery pics:
Thanks for the support. Unfortunately, I'm not a member so I can't create a signature with a link to the spreadsheet.
Nice GT3. We discussed doing Euro delivery early on in our discussions about getting the Spyder....and then COVID hit and that went out the window. Hopefully, another opportunity will present itself sometime in the future where I can do Euro delivery for a Porsche.

Oh, I see. Well, from my experience a lot of my spreadsheet was filled in through PM's I received from other members, some wanting their car to remain confidential, but happy to add to the database. I highly suggest you become a member too if for this reason only (my inbox has 100's of messages). In fact, I just added a color to my list yesterday from a PM I received about a Rock Green Metallic Touring on BAT.
As to Euro delivery- for me it was awesome and the cultural aspects of it were amazing. You must do it if you can!
My Spyder went V260 (Vehicle into body shop) 9 days early and is supposed to exit production tomorrow (V270), but then take another week to hit V300 (Vehicle completion) June 4. Arghhh... the wait (albeit a first world problem) is killing me!

Hang in there Zeus! I promise you it will be worth the wait.
Looking at your picture and then comparing to pictures of the other Slate Grey, it's very obvious that your Slate Grey is the lighter color of the two but I don't know if that is due to lighting or camera processing. Your grey looks like a light creamy grey whereas the other Slate Grey looks like a dark grey with maybe a little brown in it. Don't know if the brown is due to lighting, camera processing or maybe my eyes but that's my observation from just seeing only a handful of the other Slate Grey online.
Thanks. Yes it’s Y97, the lighter of the two Slate Greys. It’ll get full PPF and ceramic including wheels and calipers and of course clear corners along with clearplex on the windshield.
