How is PTS with regards to resale? I want to order a Cayman GTS 4.0, and while I like gentian blue, I love aqua blue metallic (attached picture). My desire is to keep this Porsche for a long time and my selection of options will not be solely driven by resale. However, the idea of being able to recoup as much as the PTS up charge as possible does have its appeal.

I would agree with this,more popular colors such as Mexico Blue will retain some of their value - but PTS is very personal and *can* reduce your addressable market

I would not buy a PTS based upon its resale value (in fact I have had 2 PTS cars, my previous and current GT3)...

get the color because you want it ...

one other concern, PTS really pushes the price of a GT4/Spyder into 911 territory, which I think *is* a resale issue.

It is lighter than gentian and darker than sapphire, my sweet spot. But, not sure it's sweet enough for me to justify the PTS $ if I can't get it back.

I am ready to see Ruby Stone Metallic and Mint Green GT4s!

Either one would have been my choice if I had gotten a PTS allocation.

Rubystar (sternrubin) was added in the latest PTS update
ordering text for 718 is 82N rubystar
ordering text for 992 is 4SR rubystar

I believe Ruby Stone was renamed Ruby Star and they are the same, or very similar color.
There is no color called Ruby Stone on the PTS list

There is no Rubystar shown on Rennbow.com, but I’ve found that web site to be hit or miss with accuracy, so I don’t put a lot of stock into the information they provide. They do show Ruby Stone
