From the Porsche Internal Doc this summer....

There are two non-metallic Slate Gray colors with different paint codes.
There is a third which is metallic and not available for Caymans (it’s 911 only).
The additional code number for Y97 (lighter shade) is RAL7015. The other code for the darker shade is 6601 = 615.
It was very surprising to learn there are two shades with the same name and different codes.

Thanks for clarifying all. Still new to the Porsche world so didn't know there are two Slate Grey's with the same names. That's crazy and that would give me endless nights of sleep worrying about the SA submitting the correct paint code.

I read on this forum somewhere that somebody ordered Gulf Blue but ended up getting Golf Blue because the SA messed up. That is the worst thing to happen.

A conscientious dealer should have a customer sign off in writing at every stage of ordering to ensure the correct color and options are chosen. Mistakes can happen but communication at every stage of the process can minimize errors. I’m not sure I’d accept a PTS car that wasn’t the color I ordered unless I loved the “mistake”.

Per your request, please find the Custom Color list. Was current as of August when I was considering PTS.

Believe this has been superseded since some have mentioned the additions such as ruby red stone.

You're welcome. It's a lot of work but it's also fun for me to see all of the pictures and the different builds. I figured if anybody enjoys going through the spreadsheet or if it can help in anyway, then it was worth it.

I know there was another member that was able to make charts and such from the spreadsheet. I don't know who to do that and share it so maybe I'll work on that and share it every couple of weeks or months so people have a quick and easy way to dissect the data.

When were you notified of this delay? Did Porsche say what the delay is due to?
