I finally had time to install the OPF delete pipes from Soul yesterday. Installation is super simple except for a stubborn stud on passenger side that I couldn't remove so I had to loosen exhaust to remove OPF.

First cold startup is impressive! Sound is really good with this + the plugged lines to keep valves open. I have the Soul valve controller sitting in garage and will install it soon.

I can see the majority of folks who find the car too quiet stop the mods after replacing the OPF. This is what's cool with this platform and the modularity of the exhaust. Everyone can find it's way!

This thread hijacking!
John from Soul started this thread & they're good guys working hard to build their company. The thread is about the developments of their exhaust products, not for someone to post advertisements for another vendors product.
It's the small innovating companies that provide good products for our cars, we need to support that, not bash them with competition from large corporations.

I only drove like 20 km in stop-go trafic this morning so no issues. On my "joy ride" yesterday night I didn't really notice anydrone but was not paying particular attention.

I didn't realize this was the Soul exhaust development thread. We have like a dozen exhaust threads going. People make mistakes. Chill out.

Well, that is good news about drone. It tends to be pretty obvious and jumps right out at you most times. If you didn't notice it, it's probably not there.

Drone-schmone. If you're driving a car at constant 2500 rpm, then it probably doesn't need a trick exhaust anyway.

I kind of thought you hadn't noticed it was actually Soul's thread & no offence taken. I have dealt with Mike & John at Soul and they're committed to making excellent products for our cars and take suggestions from members and also do custom stuff as well. In the current pandemic, the economy & especially small companies are struggling the most, we have to continue supporting them.

Well, 2500 rpm is not an uncommon engine speed for the drive back and forth to the track. A droning cabin is a very fatiguing phenomenon, especially on a drive from Dallas to Austin to run at COTA. I would like my exhaust to be quiet when it needs to be, and wake up with an exotic flat-6 whale when appropriate.

I am hopeful Soul will have some options for this.

@Soul Performance what type of design are you thinking for the valved exhaust? Will it be a valved resonated x pipe or have a muffler section and a straight pipe section? Or a mix of both?

SOUL and Cargraphics offer valve controller solutions for that purpose. I have one and it's always open when I want, or closed/PSE default when I want/need.

Anybody installed the over axle pipes or race exhaust on jack stands or race ramps? I will finally have some time to install the race exhaust but was wondering if I can get the over axle pipes out without putting the car on a lift?

Yes it's possible. Not necessarily comfortable or ergonomic, but well possible. I did my link pipes on the quick jack.

I also did my OPF delete on a Quickjack (with SUV adapter to gain extra height). You need to remove rear wheels so doing it on race ramps is impossible. A creeper makes it easier and more comfortable to work. I will do the JCR exhaust install with same setup when it comes in and will install Soul valve cotrol module at the same time (easier to do without the exhaust in place).
