Yess! Glad to know they are shipping. I'm 8th in line so I should get mine soon! I will also do the install myself (it's half the pleasure for me to work on the car!). I'm scheduled for delivery of my car on friday at 1 pm!

Thank you for sharing your feedback, Ryan! Glad you're happy! We are working through the preorder list to get our new 718 components out to you as quickly as possible! I went back into the fabrication shop to get some close up detailed shots of our craftsmanship - Max did an outstanding job on this set of over axle pipes:

Those photos Mike just posted above were taken yesterday, those are your pipes getting built. They just made it through QC and are in shipping waiting to get boxed up and headed your way

Just received the tracking number! Friday will be a day to remember! I'm picking up the car at 1pm and pipes should arrive by end of day! I'll try hard not to install the pipes on friday night and get a feel for the car stock before!!

Thanks John and everyone at Soul for an outstanding product! I saved the above pictures in my "GT4" folder!

Can't wait to order the full race exhaust (+ resonators). The price point for how much that gives you is just amazing.
As long as I'm able to drive it in a way that isn't completely obnoxious (i.e. don't stomp on it around town), it's going to be so nice

Razzle dazzle, was that video with valves open or closed?

SOUL @ John, Does the over axle pipe have a bracket to hold the vacuum line? The OE OPF canisters have a bracket for the vacuum line on top.

Thanks guys!

Im happy for now, plan to sit back and wait to see what Soul comes up with for rear mufflers. Install pics and quick drive by. More pics on instagram @ryan_dalziel

leaving the dealership earlier.
Great sound!! Any drone with valves open? Can you drive with valves open in town below 3000 rpms without attracting too much attention? Did you keep the valves open all time to enjoy the sound across the whole rpm range?
Thank you

Default Installation of over axle pipes

So I received my over axle pipes and decided to do the install myself. It went well with a few snags along the way that we’re fairly easily remedied. This biggest issue I had was to try and back out the studs on the muffler end as the instructions indicated. They were well adhered so rather than fighting with it I loosened off the muffler instead and it went just as easy. I have only done the drivers side so far as I started late in the day. I will advise on the sound difference after installation of both sides. I can advise that the build quality and fit is very good. Seem to be quite a bit lighter than the stock units (of course) so I’m excited to hear the difference tomorrow. I have also removed the valve vacuum lines and I’m happy I did that. It does sound better as most have indicated in the 2000-4000 rpm range.

Thanks for posting, I like the DIY route on easy jobs and can't wait for my CWM with red top to arrive.
I've got a Soul valved exhaust on my 981 BS now and it's great.

I installed mine myself too, it’s a fun task and not so complicated. I agree I had the same issue and needed to loosen the muffler to back it out. Otherwise no way to take the OEM pipes with the fixed studs on the header and on the flange.

looks like you disconnected the vacuum valves, so it’s not a problem. But when I did slide back the muffler, the left vacuum hose Disconnected from the T splitter that sits on top of the transmission case. The hoses to the valves are fixed to the muffler so pulling it back disconnected the hose there. needless to say that I only found out when everything was reassembled and I drove off the car. To reach that splitter with the two hands and plug the lines back on you need to remove the diffuser and the transmission belly pan. Not fun at all.

so a tip to who will undertake this by themselves, be sure that before you close up everything, and before you put the nuts and screws on the new link pipes flange to the rear muffler, make sure the vacuum lines on the T splitter are connected.

So @tdlondon @NeilF this picture shows the pipe VERY close to the inner fender wall, is this just the picture or is that close?, what clearance did you end up with?

Thanks!

I don't know on the Soul, mine is the Fabspeed one. It looks close but it's not as bad as it looks. I have probably 1" of clearance on that area. It's my thumbwidth .
The issue is once the car is down, the wheel hub raises and it gets pretty tight between that and the inner wall.

My question would be for any of these systems, both for clearance and heat soak, thanks for replying!

Regarding the bolded, I can't quite picture this is, do you have one or can explain further, I know with the stock system they keep it pretty tight to the inner wall.

The pipe won't move when the suspension is loaded vs. on a lift, but other clearances will be tighter (towards the back of the hub).

As for heat soak, Soul has commented previously that because there's no longer a GPF in the path which restricts flow (which is effectively a large heatsink) - there's little to no need for additional heat shielding.
