Wc sounds fantastic!! Not take away from WC post of that beautiful Spyder and fly by, but that inspired me to take a picture as I was cleaning the garage . Difficult to capture the black tips but they look great

First wash of the season, after being covered in bugs and pollen from a 250 mile ride last weekend.

Out of the blue, my Spyder showed up last week. Wasn't expecting until late July, neither was my SA. Nice surprise, beat the chip shortage and dodged the connecting rod issue, feeling pretty lucky. Had the Soul OAP's installed before I picked it up. Really like the sound of this motor, way different than my .2 RS.

Very nice, do we get to see a picture or two out in the wild?

For the chalk GT4 owners out there who have tinted their windows, did you tint the small B pillar window the same % as the side windows, or the back window? On my last few sedans, the rear passenger windows and small C pillar windows got the same as the rear, but I'm worried the small window might contrast too much with the front windows since from the side they look like one seamless piece of glass for the most part.

Any thoughts? I'm leaning towards 20% on all side windows and 10% on the rear to be safe.

do them all the same %. Doors/Sides and rear. 10% is way too dark. You won’t be able to see out at night. 20-35% is my suggestion.

Personally, I wouldn't tint the side windows difference percentages. They would need to be the same for me since it would just look weird and throw off my OCD every time I walked towards my car. Now in CA, I believe 70% is the max we can do on the front side windows and the rear windows can be as dark as you want as long as you have side mirrors which basically all modern cars have. I don't like them too dark as I've had 30% or 35% way back in the days and that was too dark at night for me. I can't even imagine trying to drive safely at 20%. I think if you did the rear window in a different percentage, it could work because it's a different area but I wouldn't do it too different from the side windows to the point where it's so different and very noticeable. For example, if you do 50% on side windows, maybe do 40% or 35% on rear window.

For my Chalk GT4, when it arrived next month, I will be doing 5% all around. But all my cars have 5% tint.

yea i also read somewhere that 70% is all CA allows, i'm still trying to decide if its worth doing, i think i might need to go see it in person to see if it makes enough of a difference to make it worth it. if i do go for it i think ill match the windows, i think having different tints could be super noticeable/look weird because of the size and placement of the back windows vs how it looks on a 4 door with real separation between the front and back windows

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I think I'm going to go with 20% on the side windows and 10% on the back. My M3 had 20% on the front windows, 10% on the rear doors/small windows/rear glass and I had no visibility issues. And that's on a car without a rear backup camera (thanks BMW!).

As a data point, I've had my front windows tinted 35% or less for the last three cars and have had no issues in CA (knock on wood).

Awesome to get the Spyder out on the track! Curious why the numbers on the side are not the same as the bumper?

Default A little drive...

Just to show that I support other colours, here are a couple of snaps of our drive on Friday, nice to get out with friends and have some fun in the country! It was a bit of a haul and we barely got 1/2 up the island... why we call it the "The Big Island"

Gold River

Myra Mines

Upper Campbell Lake

Strathcona Park

Who says we don't drive them!
